Simple Joe Cafe

Even if there is a line, it moves quickly. Simple Joe's is the classic local breakfast spot. It's just great eggs, grits, pancakes, and sides. It's my favorite breakfast spot in town. I also love all the local art on the walls.

Loved this place! In town to drop off college student and I was so glad I found this place!! We got a delicious breakfast to start our busy days! Grits were fabulous, bacon crisp and they have THE best coffee!! Great portion sizes!! We will definitely return when we visit our LSU tiger!

The grits were perfectly salted and creamy. The scrambled eggs were fully cooked at my request, and very fluffy just as I like. The sausage tasted homemade, and the bacon was thick, and crisp, just like I like.

This is a popular eatery, especially for breakfast. First you order at the kitchen counter then find a table. The place fills fast. The breakfast menu has something for everyone:french toast, pancakes, eggs, grits with bacon bits, biscuits and gravy, the options are many. Your order is delivered to the table after you choose a coffee mug and fill it. All the food we had was great. Be sure to go early especially on a Sunday morning..

First the community attitude was beautiful. The owners are great. Absolutely love all the community artwork that is available for purchase. The wait wasn't to bad. But if you procrastinate you might be in line awhile. This place is what all natives crave. We drive 45 minutes to be able to enjoy.
