Great set up -- tables right next to the bar to still allow good conversation with the bartenders, not to mention the excellent food. There was a huge flock of ducks outside the front entrance that were incredibly friendly and even let you pet them, although they definitely wanted some bread. Only downside is lack of sidewalks and safe pedestrian crossings on that stretch of Bluebonnet, which would be helpful because we live walking distance from it.
This is absolutely my favorite seafood restaurant! Portions are plentiful for even the biggest of appetites, seafood is always on point, and the wings are amazing. Please try the Seafood Stuffed Portobello, Seafood Stuffed Potato, & The Roux 61 Pasta. These are all must haves. Nice creole atmosphere that's very rustic & inviting. First timers, you won't regret going here.
Love the atmosphere! They have great drinks (and awesome drink specials) and delicious food. I recommend the seafood potato and wings. Took off one star because consistency can be an issue but most visits are great.
The food was so delicious. Grilled oysters are a must. The stuffed mushroom was also a welcomed surprise. No complaints about the service or the food. I'll have to go back and see what the rest of the menu has to offer. The kids popcorn shrimp is enough to share. My 6 year old son barely put a dent in it.
Traveling from Dallas to Gulf Shores we decided to stop here for lunch because of the reviews. It was mixed for my family. Not really worth the trouble to stop.
Some of the food was really good but there were lots of missed steps. Our waitress was very friendly but didn't listen to our order. We were missing several items ordered and the things we got were not done to request.
I had the Delta Queen and the fish was really good. But the lobster cream sauce was not good. It was more like a creole Alfredo sauce. Way to over reduced to the point of a cheese sauce. Bread was horrible, hush puppies were worse. Even my daughter said her sandwich bun was gross.
Iced tea was great as should be for the deep South.
Not a place I would go out of the way for.
