“This place has the best Pho and spring rolls I've had down south so far. I'm originally from Los Angeles so my standards are kind of high. My husband had Mandarin Chicken he said it was all right but he compares everything to China Doll. The staff was polite and attentive. You should definitely go check it out it would be worth the money and time it looks like they have karaoke too. I will be going back again.”

But if extra dry and crispy if your thing. This is your place. The presentation was decent. Other items were decently flavored. Speed of service is on the crafty end so allow yourself some time. “While I’m NOLA for a volleyball tournament we googled places to east base me. This place came up in our search so we thought we would try it. We are all very happy we did! The food was amazing! I had such a hard time deciding what to order it all looked and sounded so good. I finally went with the bbq wings. My husband got the surf and turf Philly steak and my son got the double steak burger. We were all very pleased, large portions and it was cooked when we ordered so it was nice and fresh. The staff were super friendly and helpful! We would highly recommend this place, sorry I didn’t get a picture-we all dug in too quick for that.”

“I grew up on this place and was excited to see that they opened a location on the West Bank when I was in the neighborhood. The shrimp and hot sausage poboys did not disappoint and were both exactly what I remembered. Still some of the best poboys in the city if you’re not looking for the frills and atmosphere of the tourist joints. Everyone was friendly and the bread and ingredients were all fresh and delicious. A great option for a little picnic in the park or to bring home for some Friday night takeout.”

“I’ve been driving by Big Poppa’s for quite some time and finally decided to stop by for a late lunch and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Big Poppa Buger and Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was definitely home made and was perfectly made with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. The Sweet Potato Fries were sprinkled with a cinnamon sugar and brilliantly served with a cream cheese dip. The server who took my order was also amazing and continued to check on me through my meal. I will definitely be going back!”
