“A really good deal. Value for money buffet in the area. Great service with friendly smiles. Not only the variety and selection are good, the quality and tastes are equally fantastic. About 10 types of sushi with great variety and they taste real good. Prawns are jumbo size! Cook to serve us a disappointment. The beef was overcooked. Need improvement in this area. Cakes in dessert section are dry cakes. Also need a bit of adjustment here. Fruit variety is great. I enjoyed the canned longan n jello. Watermelon n orange are juicy and sweet. Pineapple could be better if they are fresh ones. Plenty of crabs, crayfish and shrimp. I even managed to grab some crab legs! Truly value for money at around 15 on a Saturday dinner. Highly recommended.”

“Carreta's is a great place to eat lunch or catch an afternoon drink. Their lunch menu has a lot of choices and has a really good selection. I got the taco salad with mushrooms. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The salad had a great taste. The chip and salsa were good as always. The staff was super nice and warm. They always had a refill ready and it's always nice to be asked if I want a drink to go. Thanks for making my lunch break a little better.”

“Came in just before heading out for the airport. Quaint little restaurant that is definitely inconspicuous at first. My wife had the pork chop, red beans and rice, and collard greens. I had the catfish, Mac 'n cheese, and collard greens. Red beans had just the right amount of spice and the pork chop was rich and juicy and needed no sauce to taste great. The catfish was also great. Had a light but flavorful breading like any good fried fish should have. Portions were huge, but I willed myself to finish. The owners were right inside and very welcoming. Made you feel just like you were eating home cooked soul food. Also had a strong local presence, which is a good sign for any restaurant, especially a small one. Great people and great food. A must visit if you are looking for food on your way out of New Orleans.”

“Wow! What an amazing moment today. I was referred to do an Electrical service call by a family member through a Facebook site to do some troubleshooting at Crawfish King Restaurant in Kenner. To make a long story short, I was able to solve the problem, however, the amazing part is that Mrs Mary Augustine (owner) has a beautiful spirit. She was so thankful for the work I did for her, she gave me tip, a big bag of crawfish with sausage/potatoes, and an opportunity for more work at her restaurant. This was really a blessing, and I honestly recommend this restaurant, not only because of what she gave, but because she is a person who honors the Lord our God. Many blessings to this business, and to all her family. I thank you for giving my small business an opportunity to shine and to be of service to the community I love so much. “Great little restaurant recommendations by a friend. Wide variety of foods are available. Friendly staff are available to take you order and accept for payment and get you out the door. Good that the food is visible for you to see without obscurity. And so it the kitchen. The line moves swiftly, so don't be discouraged when you enter and there's a line; in no time you'll be out of there. Parking is off street, but it's limited. Plenty of tables if you decide to dine in. But make sure to clean up behind yourself as there's no wait staff. Beverages are sold separately from the food and with a large selection, I'm sure you'll find something that pleases your palatte.”

“Please disregard the previous bad reviews, about it not being clean and having rude staff. Me and my mother ate at this restaurant tonight (shared this Mexican type of hamburger, with steak, lettuce, tomato, and avocado on it), and really enjoyed it. The restaurant looked very clean, and our waitress was very friendly. The only reason that I only give it 4 stars is because I did not like the atmosphere. It is too bright in the place, and I felt like I was eating in a brightly lit school cafeteria (if you know what I mean). I much more like a darker, nice atmosphere, with privacy. Too bright, and the square tables out in the open. Also, they could not offer us a free cup of tap water, and my mother wanted a beer, and they did not gave beer, because they do not have a liquor license. I just felt bad for taking my mother here, because they could not serve her a beer, that she was really craving. Anyways, other then that, the food was okay, and the server was nice. I really enjoyed the food, but I do not think I would go back, due to the atmosphere, unless I were taking the food to go.”

“Well I don't know about the bad reviews for this particular location but I've had nothing but excellent service and food from them. Just last night, I ordered parmesan bread rolls that were overcooked and hard. I called and was polite and asked for either a new order or a refund. They sent out a new batch of parm rolls AND a free 2 liter for my "inconvenience". Now, that's great customer service! The young lady was very polite as well. So all good on my end as far as this particular Domino's is concerned.”
