“Amazing food and service. Not only was the owner and his family incredibly kind & kid friendly, the fold was absolutely amazing. You can tell how much care goes into everything and how authentic it is. Highly reccomend for a date or large group. Try lots of appetizers & share plates. We went as a group of 6 adults and enjoyed everything we tried. The atmosphere is also really great and relaxing with the lamps & cushions. Definitely will be back!”

“I happened to hear the review on the place on the radio and decided to try it. I’m happy that I did. I ordered the Yuca Con Chicharron and chicken tamale. The first dish was larger than I thought, but it was delicious. I haven’t eaten the tamale yet, since I was full from the first dish. But I look forward to doing so later. I got to meet and talk with the father of the business, and it was very pleasant, as he gave me samples of certain foods and informed about why his tortitas are different than others. It was very informative. One of his sons was a chef at Emeril’s, and a New York magazine rated Mawi as a top ten best restaurants in New Orleans. Im looking forward to another visit”

“Super Tastee Apple fritters and lemon drops ever! As Locals we don’t eat A lot of beignets or Dunkin or Krispy Kreme… Tastee is the original and our go to every weekend. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They are happy to help grab the donut at the very end of the case if that’s the one you want. The apple fritters are our favorite of all the donuts offered. The fritters are always crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. They have apples sprinkled in too with lots of cinnamon… Delicious! If you are an apple fritter fan make sure you get there before noon as sometimes they sell out and don’t make anymore. Second favorite is the buttermilk drops. See photos. They have a cake texture - taste is vanilla with sweet cream. Crunchy and a little sugary on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside.”

“This is a genuine Honduran "Parrillada" (grilled) experience! I had the personal platter, and if you like meat, then this place will satisfy all your cravings! They have sausage, pork, steak, and chicken all in the Honduran "barbacoa" style with many delicious sides such as Honduran "arroz con frijoles" and "tajadas de platano verde". Also, many sauces and other toppings which compliments the sides and meat pairings. The service was top notch, and the manager personally catered to me and my mother as we celebrated Mother's Day. We will definitely return!”

“Although it was a drive from New Orleans east it was a nice place to go with my family after church. Best Dish was the crawfish fries. They was overloaded with crawfish. Loved every bit. I did not like the sausage that came with the snow crabs. It was rubbery and lacked seasoning. I guess I’m use to D&D sausage lol. Kid friendly in a sense except when checking out. The edge of the counter sticks out to far and is a risk for little heads. Overall we will visit again🤗”

“The guy that I believe owns and/or manage the business was really sweet! He helped carried my order to the car and everything! Over the top customer service! The space is awesome though! It's spacious, neat, and clean with great parking. Now, they say they open for 10:30a.m. but they don't! They arrive at about 10:45a.m. and then have to clean, prep, meet vendors, and everything else! Just open for 11:00a.m. or later it's rude and inconsiderate of your customer's time if they planned for that visit. Then when they finally arrive they still have to wait on the cooks or whomever. The yakemein is delicious but not enough to wait a hour or so later for. The burger meat is gross, and the other things were enjoyable. Again not enjoyable enough for the wait and inconsistent hours. The prices are reasonable and again that yakemein is amazing!”

“This was an awesome place we stopped at to grab a bite before we went to the airport. Friendly customer service, good food, and listen to the recommendations the waiter/waitresses gives you. I got the seafood omelet (Amazing) that came with hasbrowns or grits (I got the grits) and toast or biscuit ( I got the biscuit). It was really filling and worth it. I also got the cheese fries, but had to add some ketchup for a little more sodium. All in all, hard working team that works well together from a customer's perspective.”

“One, if not, the best pho I’ve ever had. I have had my fair share of pho all over the place in different states. So, it is an honor to give this pho such a high praise as I am not someone who is easily pleased with food. At first, the prices were shocking, especially the one with oxtail in it. I ordered the one with oxtail. Right off the bat, when our pho came to our table, they looked incredible with the loaded chopped aromatic herbs (I think it was cilantro and green onions). The broth was incredible—-you can taste the quality and love that was put in. The oxtail was very tender as well. I also love that it wasn’t too sweet like others I’ve had. It tasted just clean and pure! I wish I could eat the entire bowl, but I could only eat half of it because of the enormous size! We were given a small side of chili sauce as well that complimented the pho very well, as we don’t like using sriracha and hoisin sauce in our broth. I personally feel that it overwhelms the delicate flavor of the broth. I wanted to know the brand so I can buy some, but the owner said he made it himself. Overall, I’d pay the price any day for a great, flavorful, savory pho. Looking forward to my next visit in NOLA so I can have a bowl of this amazing pho again! We had a great chat with the owner after our dinner, who spoke very highly and proudly of his method, as he should! Well done!”

“Delicious! We got a variety of appetizers and rolls and everything was so fresh and tasty. Our favorite apps were the coconut shrimp, gyoza, steak app, and spring rolls. “9-29-19 Sunday evening 2 PM-ish. Overall we had fun. However there were flaws. We were in lane 41 and there were problems with the pins. We constantly had to go to the front desk and ask them to reset the machine because the pins were not all coming back down. Also the keyboard when you type in your name several buttons were not working on the keypad. We did not get any food or drinks because they were somewhat pricey. Overall it kept the kids busy for two hours and let them burn some energy. I would go back to this location however I would avoid lane 41. Let’s hope the other lanes doesn’t have these problems.”

“Wow!!!! My husband and I shared the Cuban and the Bistec, and we were blown away! They were both so delicious we couldn't decide which one we like better! The sandwiches came with drink of our choice from the cooler. Everyone was so hospitable! I couldn't leave without some homemade chicharrrones! I have to note in here that they sell all kinds of fresh seasoned meats like chicken & steak fajitas and pork & beef ribs and they'll grill it for free if requested! We will definitely be back for that and the sandwiches!”
