“Great little restaurant as suggested by a friend. Upon entering, I was greeted by 2 beautiful ladies anxious to assist me. I was going to do take out, but changed my mind and decided to dine-in. The time was after lunch but before dinner & this was simply perfect as I basically had the restaurant TO MYSELF. That also means the wait staff was at my Beck and Call... All eyes ON ME!!! Yesssss. New to the vegan lifestyle, my choices were limited... Mediterranean Restaurants are known for their oh-so delicious lamb. But this wasn't on my radar, so on to something else. It was suggested I get the SHRIMP SHISH KABOB. And what a great suggestion that was. I ate everything EXCEPT the onion and the bellpepper. I meant to eat at least half of both, but the hummus, shrimp, pita bread & rice took up MORE room in my belly than anticipated. Then washing it all down with the pine nuts less Lebanese Tea, although I did inquire of their whereabouts. Nor did I get any candy coated Jordan Almonds, hello... I wished someone had come along with a wheel barrow to roll me to my car... I ate until... Definitely, there will be a return visit. Pricing was fair. Parking was great. People were friendly & attentive.”

“Yeah.....good place for sushi and hibachi. The service is very good especially for a Laplace restaurant. We enjoyed our sushi; LSU roll and the sushi dinner with a crawfish roll. Presentation is very good with flowers as decorative addition. Food is very good and it was valentine's day. They offered each couple a gift which was very nice. First time dining in. We normally do take out.”

“I drove past Golden China and realized a new restaurant has opened in Laplace. I noticed the now open sign hanging in front and made plans to give them a try. We have quite a few Chinese restaurants in Laplace, so I was hoping this one would be a little different from the rest (perhaps a buffet or some hibachi to order). I was going to stop by on Sunday and headed to the restaurant at about 6:30 pm. It was closed! I am guessing they don't open on Sundays, but maybe they closed early or maybe the were just closed this Sunday. So, Monday came and I thought I would try again. My family and I arrived at the restaurant at about 7:15 and was immediately seated (there was only one other family in the restaurant). We looked at the menu and I ordered the General Tso Chicken Dinner with shrimp fried rice and an eggroll and my daughter ordered the Honey Chicken Dinner also with the shrimp fried rice and eggroll. I was looking for a small order of lo mein to try, but that was not an available option, you had order a plate which would have been between $11-$14 so I passed. The egg rolls were brought out first. They had shrimp inside and tasted ok. I paired the eggroll with some of the in house made duck sauce which was pretty good. Next the entrees came out. The portion sizes are really large. We each received a plate full of chicken and a bowl of shrimp fried rice. The chicken was very saucy (maybe a little to much) but didn't have much flavor. The honey chicken lacked the honey taste and the General Tso Chicken usually has some spice to it, but this one did not. The shrimp fried rice was really good and was my favorite part of the meal. The service was also good. All in all I thought the whole experience was just average and I honestly would not be in a rush to return. I wasn't wowed enough to make this my new Chinese stop especially with the many other similar options we have here in Laplace.”

“Nice little find on The Airline in Laplace. I've passed this place mannnnny mannnnyyy times before & shamefully this was only my 2nd time visiting. Here for a quickie lunch with my friend & mentor, CynthiaYvonne; I opted for the fried shrimp po-boy. The bread was that crunchy, make a mess in your lap French bread, I'll have to remember that for when Granny returns; and I had a soda & a few fries. Ms Cynthia had a roast beef au jus, fries & a soda; ohhhhh and FYI, the fries are enough to share, because after all "sharing is caring...". I got the 7.5 inch po-boy and only ate half, I shouldn't have eaten those chips prior to lunch. Shucks!!!! Anywhoooo... Entering the establishment, it feels really "homey", truly like a mom & pop restaurant and now that I'm thinking of it, I think it is. Folks inside look super comfortable and not necessarily awaiting food, for sure I saw two ladies just chillaxin & I was like, he way not? We dined and chilled a bit as well, then left. I found pricing to be fair. Portion sizes were average & the service was prompt. I'll have to make my way back for the Daily Lunch special, as today they were sold out of the BEANS & RICE.”

Especially when ordering for other people. I don't know what goes on that sandwich they saw on TV and asked for... but shouldn't the "sandwich artist" know what it typically comes with?
