“So excited to have these wonderful sushi chefs on the Northshore. Their creativity in the combination of ingredients and flavor makes for exceptional Nigiri, Sushi and Sashimi. We could only try so much, but can’t wait to go back to try more! The atmosphere, fun music and craft cocktails, will set them apart from the rest. (The more extensive cocktail menu is coming soon.)”

“Upon entering the establishment I was immediately greeted by the bartender/server, Fran who was lovely. There were only two other people dining at the time l. I ordered the gyros plate at 2:20 pm on a Monday. The food came out quickly. The salad was creamy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The place is very clean and of a high quality construction, such as granite counters on the bar. The music playing was a relaxing jazz piano at a good volume level. Enough to listen but not too loud to hold a conversation. I will certainly go back at some point and I would definitely recommend for an affordable and yummy experience.”

“The food was so good! Husband and I got drunken noodles and pad woon sen which were very similar (because I got glass noodles instead of the flat rice noodles it comes with) but with different sauces. Also got an order of the crispy spring rolls and they were delicious. All of the food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Our 2 little boys were very welcome and we can't wait to go back!”

“Always get my drink right!! It tastes so perfect. My only dislike about PJ’s is that different locations drinks always taste different. I cannot visit the location in Covington anymore. The girls were so nice, and I wish i knew who was there the day i went by because my drink was perfect! Thank you ladies!”

“Everything about this place is perfect! The food is incredible - try the Shrimp Etouffee or the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. I hope they get their full license soon so you can sit and enjoy these wonderful ladies and their great business. We stopped on the way to deliver a parkour kit in Houston and will come back this way just to eat here again!”

“Great to have this new place in our neck of the woods. It was really nice and clean. Surprisingly nice atmosphere that exceeded expectations. The food was a bit of a let down for the price point. My husband got the rosemary shrimp and he struggled peeling the overcooked shrimp. I ordered stuffed shrimp special. When it came out I thought it was an appetizer, there was barely any food. Presentation was great, it's looked amazing. Taste was below expectations. Would give it another try and hope for better results.”

“My friends and I went to hang out. The atmosphere did not disappoint, our waitress was great and the food was delicious, we opted for variety and were not disappointed. It was my first time and also our friend that was visiting from Dallas first time too. Our mutual friend had been and suggested this spot for happy hour and small bites.”

“Had a great meal at Nacho Kat. We started with the Colombian Empanadas (shredded beef and potato filling). They came out hot, crispy on the outside, and soft and flavorful on the inside. For our mains we had the Birria tacos and their Protein Bowl. The tacos were full and tasty without being greasy (like many Birria can be) and the dipping sauce was delicious. The Protein bowl was full of grilled chicken and beef with corn, black beans, and more. Very good and lots of food for the price. The space was open, airy, clean with a brightly painted wall that made it pop. They also had cloth napkins which you might not expect. For only being open for two weeks, they did a great job. We will definitely be back.”

“Wonderful coffee and food. I always love the spinach & feta croissant and their mocha latte's!! They have so many options though. If you like coffee, tea, or those bright colored "loaded tea" things, they have it: hot, iced, or frozen. ☺️ Their double chocolate muffin is delicious as well as their other muffins & scones. (I'm sure you see the trend - we LOVE chocolate😜) They also serve lunch sandwiches. This location has several tall tables and chairs as well as some soft chairs and regular height tables and chairs. They have lots of PJ's swag as well: mugs, shirts, beautiful tumblers, lib balm, etc. Great place to have a meal or snack! Very clean. Definitely stop in if you are in the area. 🙂☕🥐”

“Small portions. Fast service. Margaritas are 17 dollars. Be careful. They are strong, though. The guacamole is expensive. 6 bucks for a very tiny dish. Tiny amount of sour cream. 3 bucks for just a few spoons of it.$83.68 for 2 guys to eat some quessidillas, just 2 small shrimp pieces with a few spoons rice and some beans. 2 drinks. Some pork tacos. And the small bits of guacamole and sour cream. There was a good musician on the patio. We like it. No happy hour as of April 1st, 2023. Watch the liquor prices”

“You can smell the deliciousness as soon as you walk through the door. I ordered the classic Philly Cheese Steak. Excellent sandwich! The flavor of the roast beef was perfect! Combined with the grilled peppers onions and bread, it was heavenly. Just don't try to compare this with a juicy gravy-saturated roast beef poboy. Apples and oranges.”

“We were hesitant to check out this place because of some of the reviews but that's silly, you gotta make you're own judgement. I thought it was pretty good and it seems authentic. The customer service was good. They could improve on being faster because it took a while until the food came out, also a bummer that they don't have margaritas. Other than that they have better prices than competitors and good portion sizes. Not the #1 place in town but the food was yummy (we had the burrito supreme and nachos). Los 3 Hermanos Taqueria is a nice, chill, homey restaurant.”

“Arrived here at around 615am, at the time the staffed seemed half asleep and pretty much ignored me when I asked where the restroom was.. my partner decided to use the restroom while I browsed the menu. It was my first time here and I didn't even know how to order. When it was my turn to use the restroom I can hear my partner laughing, always the one to start a conversation w strangers. Nonetheless, when I came out I was greeted by Clarice and Beau and they were happy enough to share the history of Chicory coffee a second time. They were very friendly, I just think we needed a sec. The place was clean and were given samples of their frozen iced coffee. The beignets were delicious!! Paired well with the Chicory coffee!! I wished I lived near by because I would be here every day. They told us the history and we told them about our road trip with our fur baby. They immediately said you can sit outside and we will put these on plates for you, what a plus that its super dog friendly. Thanks again CLARICE AND BEAU!”

“I had a 2-pc spicy chicken with gumbo and a roll. The roll was delicious. The chicken was fresh, skin was crispy and meat was juicy. I did enjoy it but I’m not a big fan of a wet batter. The gumbo had a nice flavor but the rice was crunchy.”

“I’ve had food from The Rusty Pelican twice recently. Both times I ordered online for pickup. The first time I went in myself for the seafood platter. My seafood platter was ready when I arrived and the staff member was polite and professional. The second time, my husband picked up my hot sausage poboy plate. Both times the food was fresh, tasted great, and lasted 2 + meals. I’m so impressed with this restaurant. I will definitely be back ad I’ve already recommended it to people I know in the northshore and southshore.”

“This was my first time at this specific location. I was meeting with a friend and it was a very nice atmosphere not too loud but not too quiet so fellow customers wouldn’t overhear our conversation lol. I also loved the employees there. They were super nice!!”

“This PJ's never fails to impress! Even during a rush with a line to the door the team kept their composure and ensured every guest felt welcomed and taken care of. Special kudos to Vincent for going the extra mile for the guests, I can't say enough good things about the quality of service here. keep up the great work!”

“Finally decided to give this place a try as usually I only go to Fat boys plus goodbee is kinda out the way. *note traffic here is heavy expect to wait to get to and DEFINITELY expect to wait to get food here If u didn't order thru toast. Lines wrapped and according to other people here stays here most of the day I may have to rethink crowning Fatboy's #1 8.95 for a custom pizza that made in front of u and oven baked is pretty phenomenal, ESPECIALLY, considering it's not just basic cheese or pepperoni pizza u get for that price. As your order moves up the line u can make extra requests or changes if needs be. Which is awesome. There IS a rewards program same company that Fatboy's uses...toast. except unlike Fatboy's they give rewards on EVERYTHING except alcohol which is 100x better. The cheese sticks here are awesome, I order the jalapeno bacon ones and they were off the chain prob better than Dominos cheesy bread and cheesier. Since it's made like a calzone The pizza I had was okay I had the locallite I wasn't superrr impressed with that combo but I definitely didn't think it was nasty or bad. Will definitely go back to try another *Also for those who are meat lovers DO NOT expect a fully loaded meat pizza the meat additions are kind of light. Even the andouille sausage on mine isn't like a whole chunk more like a thin slice like pepperoni not going to knock no stars for that bc it's not a bad thing. Staffs was fairly friendly here although busy as to be expected”

“My husband and I finally tried this place, and while there's nothing "wrong" it's definitely just a small step above Taco Bell. I found it to be overpriced for what it is, and while the food is fine, it's not exceptionally delicious and tasty. The cheese dip was thick and not queso blanco, more like Velveeta, and the chips were unsalted. I also couldn't get any "toppings" added into my Quesadilla. It's definitely not worth 40$ for two entrees. If I wanted to spend that much I'd go to a table service restaurant. However, as I mentioned the food is perfectly fine; if you're looking for a quick mexican-ish meal and in a hurry, this is a convenient stop on your way to the interstate. The restaurant was clean and well lit, the staff was cordial, and the food was made quickly. If you have stopped going to Izzos Illegal Burrito on Hwy 21 because of the frightening condition of that place, this is something sort of comparable that you could try, although they don't have the charred corn so many people love. My husband was just excited to have a burrito bowl so I'm sure we will return.”
