Though it's 5-6 yrs since we've been, our experience was extraordinary at it's best. Had the 2 lb. lobster clambake, great tasting clams and clam chowder. Not sure if they still make it but we are planning to attend over Columbus Day weekend from Massachusetts in a couple of weeks (10/11/19). We enjoyed the ambience and view from our window table overlooking the seaport.

This is more of a review from our recent wedding but wanted to share.

Steve Jr and the entire staff at DiMillo’s are incredible. Such a beautiful environment. Accommodating in every way. Service is impeccable. Food was loved by all. They are incredibly easy to work and handled every aspect of our wedding perfectly. Thank you for such a phenomenal time! Was beyond anything I could have imagined.

Go get you some massive shrimp, prime rib, or lobster roll! It will be amazing and you will be in an amazing place.

While I’ll only get married there once, I will be back many times!

One of the best restaurants in Portland on the harbor. It's an old ferry boat turned into a restaurant. The service and food was fantastic. Our waiter Brandon did a great job in serving us and making recommendations. Would definitely go back to this restaurant again and highly recommend it.

A must visit for dinner when in downtown Portland. We tried calling up for to make reservations and the person who answered the phone said they don’t do reservations during their busy time (5-8pm). I asked how busy the restaurant was at that moment in time and they said not too busy and they try to seat guests as promptly as possible. With that said we left our hotel room and make the trek from Westbrook into downtown Portland. We parked the car off in a public parking lot and while walking to DiMillo’s realized there is a parking lot directly in front of the restaurant and they validate parking tickets. So we pressed on. Upon arriving the main desk said we have two options we can seat ourself on the left at an open table or go to the right and wait for the dining staff to seat us. We peeked into the left and didn’t see any open tables so we decided to go right and her seated. We were seated immediately at a great table. Waitress was very attentive. Drinks, appetizer, and meal was absolutely delicious. My wife had a small lobster and loved it. I would definitely visit again.

Top flight staff and amazing views to boot. The baked stuffed lobster was to die for and I'll be talking about it for years to come. If you're in Portland and want a top quality meal without the fake pretensions of other places DiMillo's is your place. As I left I also noticed decades of DiMillo's recognizing their employee of the month on plaques with individual names listed going back to the 80's! That alone told me everything I need to know about this establishment. A restaurant that continuously recognizes and elevates their employees publicly is a restaurant I will always frequent.
