“Just now had one the best tacos of my life at Bird and co. The fried chicken taco had the perfect balance of flavor and crunch....I ate a full meal and am already looking forward too going back for more tacos. The bartender recommended one of their signature drinks called the Paloma.. tequila with a special grapefruit soda imported from South America.. Delicious”

“The service here was fabulous - we were treated like family and offered several appetizers on the house. The meals were prepared to order and very tasty. I got to sample some menu items that I couldn’t pronounce but that tasted amazing! Please welcome these folks to the community and go enjoy a meal!”

“Came here because everyone raves about the French toast. Its made using bread pudding topped with whipped cream, cherries, and nuts and seeds, comes with a side of fresh fruit. It's honestly okay. The bread pudding was nice...Custard like and very soft, and it's quite a lot. They're fairly thick pieces and it's not doused in oil or maple syrup. The inside is really nice and I guess the food is good but I think people raving about it set my expectations up very high made me a little disappointed.”

“I love this place only been in twice, but just visiting. The seating is very minimal. I had to sit at a table while the line 8 deep got thru, the waitress and lack of seating is why not at start review. The pastries and breakfast bagel sandwiches are great. I've had hot lavender lattes both times. Yum. It's definitely a place I might visit again.”

“A fine, reasonable and casual restaurant on Peaks Island. We had lunch and a beer before walking around the island. Small selection of local craft beer, always welcome. Food was fresh, good and not too fussy, service was fine.”

“You’re paying for the view here, obviously, which is freaking spectacular on a sunny summer day. Is it pricy? Of COURSE, because the real estate is so expensive. The food was actually pretty darn good, and given the value of the view, I got my money’s worth. Four of us ate, with no complaints on the food. On a beautiful day, I definitely recommend it.”

“When my partner wanted to come here, I asked, "a tater tot joint? Really?!" My skepticism washed away as soon as the blessed vision of Tot Poutine graced my eyeballs. Since then, whenever we're in town, I always ask him if we can go to Blue Rooster again (he enjoys the hot dog offerings). Oh, & they have decent draft beer, too.”

“We travel to Portland Maine, a couple times a year for business. We stay downtown, a couple blocks from Pat's. We love the local vibe and laid back atmosphere. Pizzeria feel. Great, not too thin, and not too thick pizza crust. Perfect blend of sauce. Sandwiches are hearty. With great taste. Cool hangout!”

“What a great atmosphere. Live Irish music while dining on delicious appetizers. We had some great beers with Irish nachos and wings with the most AMAZING house wing sauce. Would love to get that recipe. I would put it on everything. Our waitress Lily was the bomb!! Thanks guys, well done.”

“The food is great and the prices are cheap! The salad portions are huge. For $8 you can’t beat the price or quality anywhere else in Portland. One of my favorite lunch spots. Plus, they’re dog friendly which I love!”

“The service was bad, they brought us to a table that they forgot to wipe down and then they forgot to give us water. The food was quick and good though. They had really good eggs and skewers and it wasn't very expensive either. At the end they politely took the bill and kind of made us leave.”

“Were vacationing from Arizona and found this gem. The atmosphere and wait staff were awesome. The food was spectacular. If your tired of the expensive waterfront overpriced places this place is a must stop by and hangout. We got there at 4:30 for a beer or two, we left at 9:30. Go ASU. He knows who he is.”

“Exceeded expectations! Live music on Friday night was enjoyable, but the food took the spotlight. Asked the hostess what her favorite appetizer was and she suggested the fish tacos. AWESOME SUGGESTION! So good that my expectations really started to raise for the main course. Lobster Mac&Cheese. Large chunks of lobster and flavorful pasta. The key lime cheesecake was a perfect ending. I would definitely go back and recommend to others. It is a step down from the street but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Oh... the onion rings are amazing but had to ask for sauce to dip.”

“Great spot for a quick bite in downtown Portland before or after your tour. 2 slices and drinks cost about $13. Bathrooms were clean and staff very friendly. We’re from NYC and are quick to judge pizza quality and I have to say the pizza is decent.”

“Went there during lunch and they had live music. They make a good shrimp basket. The shrimp wrap is also tasty. Their fried food is not too greasy like you find in a lot of seafood places that serve seafood baskets. Good view of the water from their deck.”

“Wandered in Saturday around 6 and we got lucky to get seats at the bar. Unusual menu but we figured out how to have 4 courses for $60/person. The tomato and melon salads were very novel, the mushroom tempura amazing, and main courses of chicken and cod were delicious. Inventive desserts. Service was team-based and well-timed. A great experience so next time we'll make a reservation!”

“Just beautiful food. Eventide has created a playfully nontraditional Maine menu that stands out from the crowd in the best way. An astonishing balance of New England/Asian flavors, expertly executed every time. I'm still thinking about their coconut curry lobster stew. Perfect service, gorgeous interior and quirky beverage menu. I love this place!”
