“We stopped for the homemade crumpets on our way home from MDI and there was a full blown Irish session underway - what a delightful way to end our trip! The crumpets are excellent and I recommend going with the blueberry jam, it was exceptional. Sandwiches made fresh to order, coffee and tea, kind and helpful staff and local art on display. Moral of the story is NEVER pass up the opportunity to visit an art cafe!”

“Great location that is fairly easy to get to and easily seen from the road. The food is pretty good. They have some good choices from burgers to lobster. They also have ice cream. There is inside dining for those inclement weather days as well as a nice picnic area with a small playset for the kids. It is seasonal, so no winter dining. Great for a quick bite and break from the road.”

“Lunch was delicious! Had the cheese curds as a shared starter. My husband had a very good fresh haddock burger! It was a huge piece of fish and delicious. I had a cup of excellent Hungarian mushroom soup with half a very good chicken with lemon and rosemary salad sandwich on toasted white bread. We were pleased with both the food and the service!”

I've eaten at MacLeod's a few times and had other foods on the menu, and you can never go wrong with a Maine lobster roll! Their meatloaf was not a preferred item for me, but I think meatloaf is a tough item to make as nothing quite compares to your own mother's recipe.
