“The service and owners are amazing! They are so welcoming and accommodating to dietary needs. We stopped by and got two vegan smoothies and there are numerous vegan options available. Our group also ordered the fish Reuben, crab roll, lobster roll (so delicious), and more. There is such a great plethora of local goods from meat to veggies to cheese and more! Stop in next time you're passing by or make a trip to this hidden gem!”

“Super nice people work here - great store with deli and shop - just be aware pump #1 is sticky with credit cards and they often get locked in”

“Fast. Tasty. Original pizza. We were in and out in 8 minutes. Bought a Pepperoni whole pie. The pizza was good, the cheese has a good mix ans flavour and the sauce is not sweet - authentic.”

“Pretty awesome place. They have really unique coffee options like snickers, or s’mores and cool donut options like fruity pebbles. Worth a quick drop in. I wouldn’t say this is a place I’d recommend for everyone as the food here is all really rich and heavy and if you are already going out to eat a lot because you are visiting the town, you may feel sluggish after eating the donuts from here. But overall, seems very clean, staff is friendly and quick.”

“Salsa Verde is a lush stream in a culinary desert - serving refreshing and delicious food. I live locally and I usually skip the local/mostly seasonal eateries. The experience I had at this small restaurant has me eager to return to try more! I highly recommend their grilled chicken - the flavors are vibrant and the meat is a nice change from your typical dry-shredded chix. Their soft corn tortillas are lovingly prepared. I could drink the house made salsa. Basically - don’t settle for sad food when you can eat here and leave truly satisfied!”

“Loved our dinner here! We were trying to sample restaurants that had more variety in their menus than the restaurants on Main Street that all seemed to have virtually the same menu. We were not disappointed! We sat at the bar and received amazing service. The food was also delicious. We had fresh oysters, lobster bouillabaisse and the steak frites. I would order the steak just a little more rare than you usually eat it, it’s a thinner cut, but still amazing!”

“I needed to post a review of Cottage Street Ramen. No, it's not the cottage of St. Ramen, patron saint of noodle soup lovers. Or is it?!? So we're in a tiny, touristy (both negative predictors of good food) town of Bar Harbor, (pop. 5089), so I had low expectations of getting decent ramen, much less good vegetarian ramen. Very low. But Lo and behold... (get it? Low expectations, lo and behold? No? No one? OK. Let's move on). Holy cow... so to speak. Cottage Street Ramen has amazing vegetarian and vegan ramen. In Bar Harbor, Maine, of all places. We ordered Spicy Mushroom Miso Ramen, Vegan XO Ramen, and Rich Shoyu Ramen. And all of them were so amazing. To start, the presentation is beautiful, a treat for the eyes, topped with grilled and fresh ingredients and fried tofu, and the Rich Shoyu has generous amounts of sliced grilled garlic which is sweet and mellow. I highly recommend adding boo choy and scallions when you order. lit adds a few cents to the cost, but so much flavor; they grill the bok choy and it's super yummy. All three broths are all so flavorful, rich and full of umami. And while the whole wheat ramen noodle isn't quite as glutinous (chewy) as white ramen noodles, it's really good, and a sight more wholesome! We're here a few more days, so before we leave, we may just have to go back another time.... or two! There is no sit down service, and you have to bus your own table when you're done, but for this level of goodness in this place, it's totally worth it. Also they have no hot sauce, only house-made chili oil, so if you like it spicy like I do, bring your own hot sauce.”

“The Links Pub at Kebo, situated within the Kebo Valley Golf Course and open to the public, is a hidden treasure in Bar Harbor, Maine. After a round of golf, it's the perfect place to unwind thanks to its informal atmosphere and outstanding selection of food and drinks. The attentive and friendly staff is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that guests have a memorable experience. As someone who has visited The Links Pub many times, I can attest to the consistently delectable cuisine and refreshingly cold beverages. The burgers, fish and chips, and onion rings are particularly noteworthy. Moreover, the staff is well-informed and hospitable, always ready to offer suggestions. The laid-back environment is ideal for a post-golf meal or a relaxed evening in Bar Harbor. Don't miss out on this concealed gem - I wholeheartedly recommend The Links Pub at Kebo for an extraordinary dining experience.”

“Lobster is always pricey so we didn’t flinch by the prices. The lobster nachos and tacos were both phenomenal. Lobster bisque was as well. So worth every penny. The environment was also excellent. Special place. Friendly staff. Great beer selection. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!”

“An excellent break from seafood. Plain Jane place, no frills and small. But the food was awesome. Bunch of different topped quality dogs, enormous ice cream cones. Friendly, patient, polite staff. It's a winner in my book.”

“We LOVED this place! Southwest Harbor and Clark Point Cafe are truly the hidden gems of Acadia - it's much quieter and more peaceful away from the tourists, with all the same charm. Food in downtown Bar Harbor was mediocre at best, but the breakfast we had here was DELICIOUS - the dishes were fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented, and definitely made with love. We got the eggs benedict and the blueberry dutch baby pancake. The employees were extremely warm and personable, and a pleasure to speak to. We learned this is their first season open as a restaurant, and hope it stays for many seasons to come! Will definitely be back.”

“I loved everything about this place! The service was friendly and the environment was fun, they have board/card games available which was is a nice touch. Beyond the overall vibe though, the food was off the charts. I thought the schnitzel and poutine were both great but the poutine was next level!”

“We stopped for the homemade crumpets on our way home from MDI and there was a full blown Irish session underway - what a delightful way to end our trip! The crumpets are excellent and I recommend going with the blueberry jam, it was exceptional. Sandwiches made fresh to order, coffee and tea, kind and helpful staff and local art on display. Moral of the story is NEVER pass up the opportunity to visit an art cafe!”

“Enjoyed the atmosphere, clam chowder and lobster rolls so much came back for breakfast! Best blueberry pancakes and hubby had a delicious lobster omelette. Would definitely come back again.”
