“Fabulous place to relax and have a terrific meal. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Food is amongst the best that I have had in Me. Be sure to have a slice of the Key Lime pie!”

“Has many of the go-to items that you may be looking for. However, it does not currently carry organic butter. So if you are from Rhode Island, you might as well stay in Rhode Island. (Yes, I'm talking to you, snobby combat hat dude with RI plate)”

“Anthony Bourdain would approve! Simple, delicious. The lobster AND crab were SO good. My Asian family would love this too (being Boiling Crab fans). Topped off with a stunning sunset view.”

“Carefully prepared local cuisine. Classic Maine recipes, which means not too much in the way of herbs, spices, garlic, etc added to dishes, but an excellent version of that style of cooking. Very friendly staff and a nice location, tastefully decorated. As one other reviewer mentioned, I think their "Al dente" pasta is a bit underdone, compared to what one would expect in Italy... but it is homemade and has a nice flavor.”

“I like the idea of the counter ordering and sitting by the water and it was what we were looking for with the family during a day of exploring. But the food took a LONG time and there was virtually no service - we got up and got our own silverware. Maybe it was an off day but it was August in Maine.”

“This is my go-to place for take out lobster rolls. It's a very small walk-up shack with a few outdoor dining tables. They have a fairly exttensive ice cream menu. In addition to the lobster rolls they usually offer 3 sandwiches of the day.”

“I've been reading and writing online reviews for a while, and I've learned that you always have to evaluate them critically. Some places create good reviews in various ways, though a large number of reviewers tends to wash that out. The negative reviews can result from an unusually bad experience or unreasonable expectations, but there are some reviewers who offer to write an excellent review if they are "comped" in some way, with a threat of a poor review if they are not. Those poor reviews are often not very detailed and typically focus on one perceived flaw. When you see many excellent reviews with a handful of poor ones, in my experience the majority are correct. That is certainly the case with Acadia House Provisions. My family and I had dinner here several nights ago; the quality and preparation was excellent, and in my opinion a good value for the price. I strongly recommend a reservation, as the indoor seating is about 28 with another six or seven at the bar. The portions are adequate, but not small. If you want large portions I recommend the nearby Harbor Cafe, but they can be crowded on some nights so call ahead. The Acadia Provisions website states that they will close for the season on 10/12/19, which implies a return next year. I will definitely be back.”

“Unbelievable friendly staff and great service. Awesome lobster. Market prices were the best here by far. But the best thing was the home made onion rings. They were great.”
