“Fine Dining” despite “remote location”. Food, service and atmosphere good. So why three stars? Portions (even salads) too small. Drink prices (except beer) too steep. Dinner for four, just under $400. Boston, Providence, NYC would blow this place away.
Extremely fresh pasta. Great service. Reasonably priced and great cocktails.
We were walking around looking for some good food. From the street we could hear Frank Sinatra songs and lots of voices floating in the night sky above our head. We wandered up a large flight of stars to a packed restaurant. The wait was very short so we decided to stay. A small bar of about 10 to 12 was full. The greater was pleasant and maybe full of wine, ha ha. We had a nice little table at the front where we could get a peak of the harbor. The waitress brought us a bag of hot bread with oil. Several of the wait staff spoke in many italian words unfortunately my second language is French. Never quiet understand why people continue to speak to you in another language when you so obviously do not have a command of theirs. We had homemade pasta with seafood which was nice but it could have had more seasonings. The salad had sliced olives which seemed a little skimpy. All in all we left full and happy. Friendly little place.
A fantastic and authentic dining experience that is well worth your patronage. Service was fantastic, with a cordial atmosphere and a polite and attentive waiter. The food itself was outstanding. I ordered the ossobuco and was delighted by both the taste and portion size. I very much recommend checking out Ports of Italy.
