“This spot was suggested by a local, as we were traveling from out of state. The manager, Jeff, was courteous, kind, and accommodating. The aesthetic was a blend of 1920’s and art deco. It was elegant and beautiful. The food was fresh, delectable, and beautifully presented. Our waitress, Lexi, was vivacious, flattering, and attentive. She made us feel welcomed and cared for. Overall service was a 10 out of 10.”

“Classic, nothing fancy, but excellent oysters. We plan to go again tonight for the steamers but couldn’t help but start out post. If you are looking for a local spot, that gets you oh so fresh and tasty seafood, look no furthers. No frills, no fuss, just good food.”

“Small, quaint and delicious. This place gets very busy and there's not a lot of places to park but if you're looking for some good wholesome sandwiches, salads made on site, this is the place. You can also order other things such as deli style foods to go, specialty coffees, baked goods etc. Will definitely be stopping in again!!”

“Clean attractive chic restaurant downstairs from the boathouse hotel. While a little pricey the atmosphere is terrific with wonderful staff. The shrimp and chowder and crab cake were quite good. Also had the lobster roll which was adequate with many other good sounding items on the menu Finished with blueberry cobbler which while quite small foe the price with literally one spoonful of ice cream was really delicious and worth trying Can’t express how attentive the staff were and the great length everyone went to comply with covid precautions”

“The Boathouse has a very approachable menu with Asian and Seafood influences. The staff is very knowledgeable. The price point is on par with other local establishments. Visit in the summer for a fun busy vibe or in the off season where the locals gather and enjoy winter specials including $1 oysters on Monday. The cocktail and wine menu have fantastic options. Happy hour is Monday through Friday 3-6”

“The location was very nice. Close to everything yet just far away to be away from the crowds. Goose Neck Beach is just down the street which was really nice. We went down in the mornings to watch the sunrise. The complimentary breakfast was just right. I loved the cinnamon and blueberry scones. The place was quiet and the staff friendly. My only complaint would be the place itself could use some TLC and we were in a double queen room and one of the queen mattresses really should have been replaced. It was that bad. The other queen mattress you could see, feel and tell was newer. All in all a very nice stay and we would return.”

“This was our 3rd time staying at this resort. Staff friendly and efficient. Front desk was able to accommodate my needs. I forgot my tooth brush and paste. We rented kayaks and took the Pineapple Ketch on sunset sail. Very relaxing. You must enjoy children as this is a family resort. Wonderful children activities. We will stay again.”

“Such a cute little diner. The decor is absolutely charming, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. If we hadn’t been in such a rush I would have taken more photos. My avocado toast was beautiful and delicious... you’ll just have to take my word for it. The pancakes, eggs benedict, and has we also delicious. I’d love to go back on our next trip and try it again.”

“Amazing food! We got the two lobster meal each, a tossed salad to share a couple of beers and a couple glasses of wine. The lobster is simple, served with butter and before the meal we each got a small roll with some butter and a small bag of Lay’s classic potato chips. Favorite seafood restaurant so far.”

“Great place on the water...near a working harbour, sit and enjoy the boats coming in with the days catch... This place is three in one.. you have the Pier 77 and the less formal bar atmosphere of the Ramp and Ramp Up(upstairs)... Menus are the same in all sitting areas... Food was delicious, fresh and well prepared.. the service was excellent and the drinks were wonderful...”

“We have been coming here for many years. What a wonderful hotel, grounds very well kept. Staff is very friendly and go out of their way for you. The rooms are clean. Just wish the toilet was higher. Love the Rhumb Line. Oh and I forgot the admiral's table. Food is wonderful and cheap.”

“This is an interesting venue. The grounds are lovely and the building architectural— but the food leaves much to be desired in this visitors opinion! When there is a great piece of fish to be had, it does not require one to fuss with it and nearly ruin it with all kinds of spices and sauces!!! This is what happens here! Leave it alone!! Their pizzas may be ok even though they are not true wood fired pizza. But so much additional stuff is just silly! Keep it simple is a famous expression for a reason!! I really would not eat here again. Too many other fine choices not too far down the road!”

“I wish there were words to describe how absolutely wonderful this place is! After the Camp Fire destroyed out town of Paradise, I drove across the United States to get my heart back, and "accidentally" ended up at Kennebunkport, Maine as my Atlantic Ocean stop. It's notorious for high prices and tourist traps but this shop was simply amazing in their service, kindnesses and friendliness. They cooked it all up and packaged it so I could walk out onto the shoreline and eat on a bench. And the cost was SO LOW that I'm almost embarrassed to tell ya! I had 3 fresh live lobsters and 2 ears of sweet corn cooked up, and two cups of delicious clam chowder, plus all the utensils, bibs and cleanup goodies for less than what you'd pay for a 12" sub, chips and a drink! They serve the local folks do they are genuine and thoughtful to everyone. If you want to really enjoy Maine lobster and still afford a hotel room, don't waste your time going to the "gotcha" restaurants on the street! Stop in, say hello to the owner, James, and the rest of the crew, and get the day's FRESH CAUGHT seafood! I was so taken back by their hospitality, services and price, that I donated to their college fund for their teen aged summer help and bought a t-shirt! DEFINITELY A RETURN TRIP!!!”

“Totally wish I had taken a photo of my food before it was completely demolished SORRY. On a birthday tour with the hubby (we live in California) this food was AMAZING!!! We started with the lobster biscuits and calamari. Lobster biscuits were our absolute favorite of night, calamari was ok. It was prepared perfectly, just not much flavor. Then we ordered the lobster with the 6 shrimp (forgot the name of it) and it was also finger licking good!!! Next time we are in Maine, we will most certainly stop by again!!! Food was AMAZING and so was the service. Just amazing all around!”

“Excellent food and excellent service. With a gorgeous view of the ocean and harbor. The waitress even tried to speak French with us! The price was good for food of this quality. I highly recommend it. My wife's salmon was cooked perfectly as was my NY sirloin. The only drawback was the dessert. The devils cake was a bit dry and hard, not soft and spongy like I was expecting. Other than that, a perfect score.”

“Dated room. Hallways too. Bathroom enormous. Bedroom and living room had roof/ceiling pitch so low you will hit your head. The entry door was a regular interior door and you could see to the hallway. Should be a metal fire proof door. It is family oriented. So there were screaming kids and babies opposite the room we were in. Staff super friendly.”
