“First time at Dufour last evening . Glad to have booked a reservation in the, smaller more intimate parlor room than the open , louder dining room. Only complaint was extremely dim lighting which made the printed paper menus difficult to read . Cocktail menu was original and several were sampled and found to be delicious. Fresh oysters ordered for a start with sauces that received mixed reviews at our table. Ordered the special —- a deep fried veal chop, risotto and asparagus. Tender and tasty, risotto cooked perfectly and asparagus crisp. The hanger steak was the big hit. Nicely seasoned, very tender and a generous portion served with potatoes and asparagus. Dessert—— ordered the chocolate cake with coffee cream in a single sized skillet. Tiny but rich, glad we shared ! Also ordered the cheesecake with fig reduction. The cheesecake was served as a round soufflé —- basically tasteless with a strange consistency and unsweetened. The fig reduction added some sweetness but an aftertaste that we all felt did nothing to improve the cheesecake. This was a miss and was graciously removed form our bill. Service was professional as well as friendly. And presentation of all dishes was appealing. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and we will definitely return”

“If you are looking for a great place to have an amazing dinner look no further. I had reservations at Dufour, one of the nicest restaurants in the seacoast area. Our dinner meal was great, I highly recommend the crispy cauliflower along with the hanger steak. Service was very attentive and the overall restaurant atmosphere was very elegant. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.”

“We went to Lanternfest there and had a really good time. Lots of room outside for playing and parking. Face painting, food, make your own hanging lantern.and lots of great live music by Them Talking Monkeys! The lanterns for floating are already down by the water. Once it's dark, everyone parades down to the water with their lanterns and watches the lit floating lanterns leave shore. Fireworks on the water and back in the field too!”

“Was the only place willing to take a reservation for a small 50th anniversary party. Jeff, the manager, was wonderfully flexible and willing to do whatever we needed to make sure we were taken care. He came out to greet us and said congrats to the blessed couple. Savannah, our waitress, was patient and kind and got all the crazy specific orders right for our party of 15! Good food, beautiful view and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!”

“Stopped in for lunch as a last minute option (Thistle Pig was closed). I had the Benedict special and my husband had a veggie wrap. Both were unfussy but thoughtful cafe fare. “Fog's has easily my favorite buffalo chicken, coleslaw, and clam chowder. Their desserts are so good that we got them for our wedding. The fried seafood is amazing. Huge menu and almost all items are delicious. Other standouts are the turkey reuben and Gorgonzola steak tips. Reasonable prices, fairly comfortable atmosphere, and service has always been very good.”
