“Awesome little surprise! took the trolly ride into the center of town,$2.00 for the ride, for a dinner while the family was out doing other things. Grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a salad with taco chicken. The size of the salad was enough to feed two. Fresh salad fixings with a Mexican twist and a generous portion of chicken. Staff was awesome food was great and reasonably priced.”

“Delicious place located right across the street from the beach. The staff was great, welcoming, and friendly. My girlfriend and I had muscles to start and a seafood platter for our meal. The muscles were so fresh tasting and there was more than enough for the two of us. This could have fed 4 people easily. The seafood platter consisted of friend scallops, whole belly clams, haddock, and shrimp. Again it tasted fresh and the portion was plenty. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for lunch or dinner at York beach.”

“1652 is a beautiful restaurant with absolutely delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. Guests can dine on the front deck, inside, and at the bar. It was open air the night I dined and it was pleasant to feel the slight breeze coming into the restaurant. The pizzas are cooked in a pizza oven and are fantastic! The oil, garlic and chili pasta is also worth getting (it leaves diners wondering what is that delicious garlic smell). There's only four beer taps and a fairly small liquor selection, but what's there is top notch.”

“Nice diner style feel, friendly atmosphere and pretty good food for what could easily be an over priced, commercialized, non friendly place. Which this place is NOT! Frappes (what I grew up calling a "milk shake") are DELICIOUS! Candies and blueberry pie were also worth writing home about (which I did). Savory food items were good enough to buy if for no other reason than to continue to eat and go back for more just to feel good about getting more desserts ???? Def going back before my return trip home”

“An unexpected gem of a casual restaurant! Everything was outstanding with a generous portion. The fried clams were sweet and melting in my mouth! The hubby loved his smoked lobster roll. My daughter's regular lobster roll was overloaded with fresh lobster meat. My son's pulled pork....well, it was huge and delicious as well. Check out the photo. Complementing my fried clams was delicious coleslaw, crisp fries and a very yummy tarter sauce! We will be back!”

“This was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had! What a unique and fantastic eatery. The hospitality alone was enough of a reason to go back again. The food was so fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. This is now a “must go” location for our yearly trip to Maine. But honestly, on any given day I’d drive the 1 hour and 45 minutes to eat there. Must try!”

“If you want a feast this should be your first stop. If nothing else every happens while you are visiting this restaurant you will remember the amount of food considered a single serving. My next visit I will order one entree for 2 people . The food was served hot in a timely manner. Each course was served on time as the table required. There were never clean and dirty plates on the table at the same time. It's evidence of a well trained and attentive staff. I found the food to be tasty flavorful and well prepared . The restaurant was the kind of place the the average foodie would plan their trip around and at the end of night the bill was not unreasonable. I would return and I suggest that you add this place to your must see list while in the area. Enjoy your visit.”

“Had some “New England” lobsters shipped to Chicago for our super bowl party. As usual these guys delivered. Lobsters arrived on time and fresh. Compared to other Maine lobsters I have ordered in the past, these guys have the best prices that can’t be beat. We have ordered fresh sea food from Southern Maine Lobster Co for years and have never been disappointed - shipped all the way to Chicago. Highly recommend this place. Keep up the great work. “If you like seafood, I guess it's ok. The service was good for those who ate seafood. Those of us who didn't, the service was terrible... The mixed drinks were so so.. To put it in the context of "Bar Rescue" They OVER poured the alcohol.. Drinks Way to strong.. The live (dead) music was like listening to someone Strangling a cat. The Lead singer... I had to listen halfway through a song before I realized what the song was.”
