“Let me first tell you I consider myself a pit beef connoisseur and I have tried alot of the local beef places around Baltimore from big stores to little shacks. Jake's Grill has the best pit beef in the area hands down. My last visit was at 3:45 pm right before they close, so you know what that USUALLY means. Not this place, the pit beef was spot on. The beef these guys use was cooked to perfection, I ordered medium well and it was the definition of medium well. Not one scrap was left. The beef is a great quality, every night was easy to chew, soft, tender and juicy. I have only had the pit beef and a few chicken wings so I cant comment on everything but they were both spot on. I would imagine everything these guys make is off the hook but I'm so in love with the pit beef I don't think I'll be ordering anything else. Hands down awesome food, awesome people. They cater too so I'm hoping to use them for an upcoming party. Jake's Grill, you guys rock. If you don't believe me, they have a 4.9 rating for a reason, ITS THE TRUTH.”

“We went for lunch yesterday and everything was so good. I ordered the crab and asparagus soup. It came out nice and hot with nice big chunks of jumbo crab meat. It was amazing! My entree was the General Tso's shrimp. The shrimp were large and cooked to perfection.”

“I don’t get the opportunity to stop here often, but it is an absolute must when I am in the area. The menu is vast, most items are made on site, the staff is extremely friendly and the main man Chris is ONE OF A KIND. Honestly, interacting with this gentleman for only seconds will make you a better human being. The soups and sandwiches are plentiful and flavorful. The lattes are amazing and I’ve never had a better cheese danish. You will not be disappointed.”

“I have only been here one time. The time I went the service was great. Everyone was very nice and patient, and answered my questions. The food was just okay though. I got the fried chicken tender platter. The two sides I picked were mac and cheese and green beans. I was not a fan of this style tender. It wasn't very crispy/tender like. The mac and cheese was just okay. I really enjoyed the green beans. I found it to be a little expensive. I do want to try it again, but I want to do it with a lunch special to save money”
