I wish I could give 4.5 stars because the service isn't always great (sometimes I feel like I'm not noticed by the person at the front and kind of have to grab their attention), but sometimes the service is extra amazing, so I feel like it sort of events itself out. Hopefully you get the amazing servers if you visit. ;)
The bar upstairs is also a fun place to hang with a few friends. It's not that big, but the bartender we always got is great at helping you figure out what you want and is also just super friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting Marie Louise, whether it be for dinner, just dessert, or a drink! -

(September 3, 2018, 8:10 pm)Marie Louise Bistro is, first things first, delightful. It is also larger than it looks from the outside -- don't be put off! There is plenty of room inside as the seating goes well back into the building.
The food is delightful — continental, of course, but with a few unexpected delights such as a truly Southern shrimp and grits with andouille sausage. (My table mate said it was the best grits ever!) Lovely baked goods round out the options.
I was there for Sunday brunch but it won't be the last time for that or something later in the day.
