The lighting in the photo doesn't do the fries any justice but the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I can tell the food is authentic and the staff takes their time preparing the food. A girlfriend of mine introduced this place to me and I loved it every time I've been back! Vegan-friendly with gluten-free options, as well. If they have it available, try the vegan banana bread... So good! The pastry counter in front is always tempting! The service has always been friendly, I've been greeted with smiling faces, and I can't help but love coming back to these people. Great coffee, too! This place also introduced me to one of my new favorite hot sauce brands, local to Baltimore, Huckle's! The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, the seating throughout is cozy, and the food and service is top quality every time. “Darker Than Blue definitely has the best food in the city. The melt in your mouth buttery croutons that are clearly made with real butter, the perfectly sauteed spinach, the excellently seasoned shrimp in the shrimp and grits. I love this place! Let's not even talk about the bottomless peach tea? Love it! And when they have the live jazz? Oh wow...definitely a great place for date night, anniversaries, or when you want food that's been prepared fresh with that secret ingredient you don't get many places nowadays - love.”

For me - once they made my latte with the wrong milk and recognized the mistake before giving me the drink - they gave me both and let me know. 2 for 1. Perfect. “A good place to drop in for quick items. Service persons are polite. Store is stocked. Like most 7-11’s, they have an ATM, coffee, donuts, a deli shelf, chips and lots of good parking! Only one drawback, because it’s located near a busy intersection— usually there is someone begging at the door.”

“After a day at the Aquarium my family and I, including our picky 9 year old, ate here. We really liked the food. Nothing fancy but flavorful and filling. Price is high but that's because of location. We ate outside so had a great view of the harbor. About $10-15 per order per person. But portions were sizable and to split for two for some people or a quick bite. Felt like a chain experience, and it may be but I am not sure. If you want a decent bento bowl, basic sushi, etc., its not bad.”
