“This place is black owned and I was glad because the food was classic soul food that was amazing. Food: I tested out the stuffed salmon. It was well cooked and seasoned. No complaints and would strongly recommend. Service was good. My food came out hot and correct. I'm really not hard to please. The place isn't the most upscale but is cozy. Typical hole in the wall which happens to be my preference. Overall I would go again. The food was good. The vibe was amazing and the crowd was drama free. That goes a long way in Baltimore. My only complaints were the bathroom could have been bit cleaner and parking sucked. Definitely will give it another try.”

“Great ambiance and drinks! I went when there was happy hour (prices are decent). Stood at the bar for a couple of hours with a relative and had drinks and some appetizers. Everything was great and tasty. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. The environment has a speak easy type of feel to it, which I always think is pretty cool. Definitely would recommend.”

“This stunning fine-dining restaurant was certainly worth the visit. Great ambiance, terrific selections of the meals and outstanding service. I tried their lunch menu which is packed a great selection of starters and sandwiches. We started with the crab beignet, which was quite good, the pastry did not overpower the crab at all, it was just right. My dining partner tried the Fall Vegetable Salad with Salmon and I tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Overall, this restaurant is quite stylish and well-maintained. I especially love, love, love their high ceilings that are punctuated by the most breathtaking dome. I couldn’t stop staring at them. They are simply gorgeous. This was a delightful experience.”

“Tried for the first time I had their honey garlic pepper wings with fries they were good and well done. Not Americas best wings but was ok. Customer service is good. The place is clean just outdated. It is right by the Metro subway station and Wells fargo building. 1st time actually going there... Nice lokey spot!!! Breast box was great and worth the $8!!! “My coworkers and I were so happy to have a new place for Happy Hour since Nickel Taphouse closed! The place looks awesome nice and roomy. Happy hour menu had a lot of good options and beer list was great. However, the service needs some serious work. Four in our group sitting at bar when it wasn't that crowded had to actually call the bartender over. Then had to call her back 15 minutes later to ASK for menus. Food was great after we waited another 20 to place order. All the food came out timely and delicious. Just don't hope to get many refills on drinks...When we requested our check the bartenders actually acted annoyed. The staff behind the bar runs around like squirrels and there is no flow. We were very disappointed with the staff and felt like we were getting on their nerves every time we asked for something. The only welcoming hospitable one was Harry....you better keep him for comic relief!”

“Wonderful evening last night at Cookhouse. Delicious food - the pate was TO DIE FOR, as was the lamb-shank pie (that pastry, that gravy, the sweet vegetables and the tender lamb). Can't wait to try the crab-cakes and sole next time. Their burger looks amazing too. Make sure to leave room for desert - I had the sticky toffee which was amazing (sticky gingery cake, with delicious toffee sauce, and piles of whipped cream). The place is beautiful, the service friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. I can't wait to go back. (And this was all the more amazing as it was their opening night - you never would have known, as everything was perfect). Wonderful addition to the neighborhood. LOVE.”

“Went for a group of birthdays yesterday for a late lunch. Food was authentic, fresh and delicious! I really enjoyed that Terry gave us background on the dishes and where they come from in Thailand.
