“Enjoyed a late valentines dinner here. I had the crab cake with hush puppies and a lobster tail and my husband had the special which was a 14oz rib eye. Our food was delicious. I am a huge fan of crab cakes and it is difficult to find a really good one with little filler and no shells. This was by far the best crab cake I have had in Southern Maryland. We will definitely be back.”

Either I missed that in reading the description, or it was an important detail left out. But all in all a lovely spot for a meal. Right on the water with outdoor seating when warmer weather arrives.”

“This was my first visit since the ownership change and overall it is still a good place. We had the surf and turf tacos and the lobster roll. Both meals were very good but I felt the lobster roll should have been bigger for the price; plan to have an appetizer if you have the lobster roll. The tacos, by contrast, were very well portioned and tasted great. There is a nice beer selection and the view is great.”

“This Dominoes is one of the best I have ever purchased food from!!! They always get the order right and the driver is almost always on time with piping hot food!!! They only time they have been late is when there was a fire on my street and the entire road was blocked off and it took him over an hour to get here. “So we tried this place three times now once on a Friday night once during the week and again on a Sunday afternoon. The service is a little bit above average from there and the drinks from the bar are all good. It's when you come to the food that you shouldn't have high expectations. Very little of what's being served is true Mexican it's more Tex Mex with a lot more American style added into it. A lot of the Staples like a refried beans all taste like they came out of a number 9 can. So if you're looking for a spot with a good atmosphere good drinks in average Mexican offerings then this is your place”

“The Striped Rock ( now aka The Crab Pot) is just... okay. I have been there about 5-6 times in the past year. Several of those times I ordered fried oysters. The quality of the oysters has been inconsistent each time, sometimes being a little too moist or oily. (I have only ordered them in season.) To be fair, other times they have been fine. While the food and service is okay, I feel like the other Stoney's restaurants are better to go to in Solomons as they offer views or more diverse choices of food, even after the menu changed for the Crab Pot. Service has also been inconsistent as sometimes it has been okay and other times I feel like attention is not being paid to all customers as it should be. Overall, the experience isn't bad, but I feel but there are many other places in Solomon's Island that can give you a better experience with more choices of quality seafood as well as drinks and other dishes. I'm looking forward to see if the Crab Pot will eventually diversify their menu as it has potential to be a great place to eat.”

“Good ice cream, but the Italian ice is prepackaged, not scooped or soft serve. They had a pretty good variety of flavors and all the ones we tried were good. The servings were huge. We each ordered two scoops but all got three instead, which is good if you want a lot of ice cream but made it pretty hard to eat without making a huge mess. They also have some food like hotdogs, nachos and soft pretzels, but we didn’t try those.”

“It's definitely hidden, but that sets up a lovely view of a marina from the deck. We ate inside, which is a tiny room decorated with nautical odds and ends. The sandwiches were huge--except for the fish, which seemed about half the size of anything else. The tastiest items seemed to be the ones with lots of cheese. The steak and cheese looked really good, and several people "helped" eat that one. The chicken salad was huge, but rather bland. The waitress was really nice, but once the deck filled up she was really busy outside. She may have been the only server. It was a pleasant meal, but not spectacular.”

“So, this will probably be the craziest review I've ever written, but I'll try to make it make sense. I had a pretty crappy experience with the online ordering. It took almost an hour just for my order to be confirmed and then another hour for me to get my food. It's safe to say I was starting to get pretty peeved and I'm usually an easy going person. So the driver gets here with my pizza, but my donut bites are missing. I was pretty much fed up at that point, but the delivery driver, Angela, was so polite and apologetic that it was hard for me to stay mad. She put me on the phone with her manager, Aaron I think his name was. Aaron was super nice and clarified that my order had gotten mixed up on the corporate end and had to basically be deleted and redone or something like that. He was very calm and collected even though I could hear that they were busy. He gave me a few options and ultimately I asked if he could just send me the dessert whenever they could, at this point I felt guilty for being mad because of the good customer service. Only about 20 minutes went by before Angela was back at my door with the dessert and smiling and saying she was sorry for the problems. I ended up not really liking the Italian hero pizza, but I'm not faulting them for that because it was my personal preference of not really liking the sauce. However the donuts were very good! Based on customer service alone, I'll seriously consider ordering from them again.”
