The cook was running his legs off it looked like he was the only one there. The girl at the register did not look like she liked her job at all. I have been a short order cook before and i was about to offer my services just to help him out. But the food is good.”

“Everything you always wanted and a crappy fast food experience I Rob just before lunch time thinking I could swing in quickly get a burger fries and a drink that he'll ever turned out not to be the case when I saw the woman putting it looked to be a container soup in the back and a small french fry I question that she'd gotten the order wrong perhaps because I had ordered a hamburger and a large fry that meant having to have a manager come up read back through the register to what the water was and then recall the order to the back on the plus side the burger and fries were both hot and the drink was cold and it wasn't too bad so there's that”

“Ordered 30 wings plus fries via the phone. The customer service exceeded my expectations. The young lady on the phone made good suggestions on which sauces I should try. When I picked up my order, I was greeted by the manager and the young lady. My order was ready waiting for me. They showed my order and asked was it up to my satisfaction. The manager even gave me a free potatoes salad. The wings were great and had lots of flavor. I had lemon pepper, honey old bay, and mild. I highly recommend this place and I am a wing connoisseur.”

“I've yet to meet a staff member who wasn't friendly and polite despite the fact that they stay consistently busy. If you are going to order carryout, you should definitely call in an order if you don't want to wait. They do a lot of delivery. Therefore it does take time to get your food, but it will be worth it. Kitchen No. 1 is the only place in the area that delivers sushi and the quality is above average. The Chinese and American food options are tasty as well. It is by far my go to delivery place. “It's humble beginnings for what appears to be a family-operated business. I've tried them twice now--once for fried whiting and recently for ribs and rib tips. While they are successful in getting their ribs tender, the outside taste like chips or sawdust from hardwoods such as hickory or mesquite that is burned at high temperatures--perhaps from liquid smoke. It's a bit overwhelming for me as it does not allow you to taste the rib meat and leaves a graininess in my mouth. The meat inside is tender but is borderline of being stringy. The sides that I had were the jambalaya rice and baked beans. I sampled the potato salad. The rice tasted like it came straight from a box of Zatarain's jambalaya rice with some internal tweaks. The baked beans was a version of the South Louisiana baked beans. It tasted if elements were missing such as the sweet ingredients to balance the tangy taste. The potato salad was just not good--dry cubed potatoes and overpowered with mustard. The fried fish was decent. This is one of the reasons why I'm giving them 3 stars. The other two stars are for effort and the kindness they show. Now for service...the workers move very slow. So, if you are in a hurry, by-pass this place. There seem to be a lack of experience on the back and front lines. The back line takes forever to read food order slips to prepare the order and the front line seems to be apprehensive in scooping the right amount for the sides. And, please don't have (what seems to be) the owner on the back line. He seems to bring more confusion to the ordering process. He hollers back and forth to the cashier trying to understand the food ticket --all while greeting people coming in. Conclusion: I like that they have launched one of their dreams and are going for it. I have hopes for this restaurant to be successful and want to support them. However, they'll need to do a few things: (1) consult with someone about the rub for their ribs, (2) improve their sides, and (3) work out a process where customers are taken care of within two to three minutes.”

“You don't come here for the atmosphere. You come here for the food! I had the curry chicken with collard greens. Both were seasoned well, especially if you like a little kick. The chicken was tender and moist. The greens were kicked right, with a bit of firmness but not tough or soggy. We were the last customers of the day, so we didn't know if we would get fresh food or not. We did. I would recommend giving it a try.”
