“I’ve heard great things but did not experience that on our visit yesterday. We had a 7:45 seating and were disappointed, first by the inexperienced crew being trained; when two servers are essentially taking your order how did I get the wrong beer? When I asked if it was the correct beer, as I was expecting a can, I was told they had it on tap too. Unfortunately it wasn’t a golden ale but a NEIPA, not even close. He was apologetic when again I asked for the correct beer. We only chose a beer as the wine list seemed unimpressive and overpriced. Started with oysters and tuna, both very, very good. Then a tomato salad (with three small wedges of bland tomato and mostly lettuce), that was just ok, the soft mozzarella was good. My wife had the braised short ribs which were excellent. Here’s the worst; ordered “fresh, house made cavatelli in a sweet corn sauce” and what I got was clearly NOT fresh, not even cavatelli, but a store bought spiral pasta with barely any sauce and super dry. Shameful at that price!! The vanilla ice cream on two small brownies (that sure seemed store bought too) covered with some super sweet caramel sauce wasn’t special either. For a $265.00 meal (still tipped well as most of our family is in the food and beverage business) we were both very disappointed. While I understand the limitations of running a good food and service business on an island has it’s unique challenges, especially these days, some things are just not acceptable and management should know.”

“We were here visiting for the past week, and were encouraged to try Sarah Brown’s from several locals and friends. It was BEYOND our expectations!!!! Not only was the food delicious, it was piping hot when it was brought to our table. It did arrive in rounds (not more than 5 min apart), but they brought it out as it was coming out of the oven—-and it was worth it. They hard large servings and great side options. We went with the trifecta-collards, man n cheese, and candies yams. They did not disappoint. My husband and I are both from the South and grew up with awesome soul food. This food was reminiscent of my great grandmother’s from the cornbread to the collards to the perfectly seasoned fried chicken. Whatever you do, order the peach cobbler and thank me later!! The service was warm and personable and made our lunch immensely pleasant. This is their first summer on MV as a brick and mortar, and I commend them for their level of service and care in the midst of a pandemic. This is their opening season, and they are coming out the gate swinging with the food, while also working under very limiting conditions with capacity of their restaurant. The inside is lovely, clean, and very modern, while the takeout window has a line outside (worthy reason of course ?). Take yourself to Sarah Brown’s!!”

“This restaurant saved the day, this is an absolute honest review, and I can’t say enough good words about this place. I went to Martha’s Vineyards thinking the food would be top notch!!! Coming from the North Shore Massachusetts I thought seafood would better or similar. I was utterly disappointed with most of the restaurants, and I tried quite a few of them. On the last day, while waiting for the ferry at the Vineyard terminal I walked to Salvatore’s Ristorante. Thank God, the food was amazing, the service was amazing, the place was amazing. If you go to Martha’s Vineyards and don’t go to Salvatore’s you haven’t been anywhere’s. This place is a must try.”

“Every year we take the kids to do this mini golf place right in the center of the island. It is quick and fun and a great family tradition. You can also get great ice cream. Recommend no more than 6 per hole or split your group to keep things moving. There are waterfalls and a cave and if you are adventurous a rock climbing wall in the back. If you get a hole in one you have a 1 in 18 shot of a free game at the end. Do it!”

“Had a wonderful time staying here for 5 days. The grounds are beautiful to walk around any time of the day or even night, and the staff here was so kind and friendly. I ate at the outdoor diner here a few of the days I was staying and everything on the menu is absolutely out of this world delicious! The nightlife is wonderful too by the firepit every night, and just down the street there is a private beach you can go to to watch the sun rise and set. 10/10 Must visit this inn! I will be coming back again soon!”

“Cool place, lots of stuff going on when we came on a Tuesday Night. The food, unfortunately, was nothing to write home about. Like glorified fast food, at best. They don't cook burgers to temp, I don't think they even can. They were very small patties, like 4 or 5 ounces, and cooked on a flat top. Possibly frozen burgers, but not completely sure; not worth $10. Fries were fresh but it looked/ tasted like a lot of the food came from the freezer. Despite that, the environment was very nice and the spirit was lovely. Great outside area for dining, dancing and games; it looked like a lot of families with children were enjoying themselves. It was fun, nice vibe, chill staff. Kick the food up a notch and this place would be great.”
