“We loved this restaurant. The power salad with salmon was perfect. Very light but enough sustenance to get through the day. Our waiter, Forest, was not very friendly and he didn't remove the items requested from the burger nor did he order the correct side. But the other staff we encountered were very nice and very helpful. They had great customer service. The salmon and cod sandwich (the day's special) was amazing! The bathroom was nice and clean. The location was overall beautiful. We would absolutely return again.”

“The coffee flag draw us in but the buttery flavors will bring us back there. (They should write "beautiful buttery breakfast" or something on the flag too) I tried the egg sandwich and my husband ate the Lebanese breakfast, with iced americanos. My egg sandwich was spectacular, I'm sure I will eat another one when we visit the island next time. The croissant was warm and buttery, the egg, the cheese and the extra bacon tasted really good; it was creamy and crunchy and buttery. The hash browns tasted really good too, it wasn't bland like they usually are in other breakfast places, it was soft on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. The Lebanese breakfast was nice too, it had some savory yoghurt and some minty dressing with sesame seeds, it had well rounded flavors. The coffee was on the fruity side of the coffee flavor profile-o meter, it tasted really good. I can only recommend this place!”

The service extraordinary, I forgot to mention that I can’t eat raw egg, runny yolk, was totally my fault but they made me a new one. I offered to pay for the other sandwich but they refused. “We were here visiting for the past week, and were encouraged to try Sarah Brown’s from several locals and friends. It was BEYOND our expectations!!!! Not only was the food delicious, it was piping hot when it was brought to our table. It did arrive in rounds (not more than 5 min apart), but they brought it out as it was coming out of the oven—-and it was worth it. They hard large servings and great side options. We went with the trifecta-collards, man n cheese, and candies yams. They did not disappoint. My husband and I are both from the South and grew up with awesome soul food. This food was reminiscent of my great grandmother’s from the cornbread to the collards to the perfectly seasoned fried chicken. Whatever you do, order the peach cobbler and thank me later!! The service was warm and personable and made our lunch immensely pleasant. This is their first summer on MV as a brick and mortar, and I commend them for their level of service and care in the midst of a pandemic. This is their opening season, and they are coming out the gate swinging with the food, while also working under very limiting conditions with capacity of their restaurant. The inside is lovely, clean, and very modern, while the takeout window has a line outside (worthy reason of course ?). Take yourself to Sarah Brown’s!!”

“Cool place, lots of stuff going on when we came on a Tuesday Night. The food, unfortunately, was nothing to write home about. Like glorified fast food, at best. They don't cook burgers to temp, I don't think they even can. They were very small patties, like 4 or 5 ounces, and cooked on a flat top. Possibly frozen burgers, but not completely sure; not worth $10. Fries were fresh but it looked/ tasted like a lot of the food came from the freezer. Despite that, the environment was very nice and the spirit was lovely. Great outside area for dining, dancing and games; it looked like a lot of families with children were enjoying themselves. It was fun, nice vibe, chill staff. Kick the food up a notch and this place would be great.”

“My wife spotted this place when we were in line for Back Door Doughnuts earlier in our week on the Island and I said "Lets go there our last night". We did and I was very impressed with the food and service. The best part is we brought a powered cooler with us so the left overs came with us back to Michigan which we enjoyed the night we got home.”

“We decided to eat here based on their reviews and although the food was good, the service was lacking. Firstly, the restaurant is located just across from the steamship authority which means they'll get a lot of foot traffic. Secondly, we had the misfortune of sitting next to a group of people who were quite vulgar, loud, and had no desire to restrain themselves. Management did little to nothing to stop them either. Thirdly, our waitress stopped by our table only twice during the whole hour that we sat there eating. Aside from taking our order and bringing our check, we had little to no contact with her. That being said, the food was rather good. Portions were great and they offered a big selection of items. The fried chicken sandwich I ate had great flavor, was moist, and had a nice crust on it. All in all, the food made up for the service but not by much. ⭐⭐⭐ 3 Stars!!!”
