Daikanyama Japanese Restaurant

Address: 225 Boylston St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, USA

Restaurant

“Went here with a friend. She got the fried oysters and loved them, I got the tuna nigiri sushi and it was great. Our entrees did not live up to our appetizers, however. We both got noodles but neither of us enjoyed the broth they came in. They also didn't come with much (in my case) duck, or (in my friend's case) tempura shrimp and vegetables, which was a shame because that was the good part. My last point is kind of nitpicky but the shape of the drinking glasses is strange so you have to hold them in a particular way, so be careful with those.”

Besito Mexican Restaurant - Chestnut Hill MA

Address: 199 Boylston St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, USA

Restaurant

“So tasty! I would go back just for the guacamole to be honest. It’s soo good! A bit pricey, but worth it. The salsa was also really good. Not chunky, but smooth. Tasted really fresh. I tried their enchiladas and I thought it was alright. I probably would try something else next time. It wasn’t bad by any means, it just wasn’t my favorite. Service is great as well. Overall I would recommend this place.”

Sushi Man

Address: 387 Boylston St, Newton, MA 02459, USA

“Small, family run Japanese restaurant off Route 9 is very comfortable and homey, with good food. The atmosphere totally reminds me of what you find at small restaurants in Japan! Extensive menu considering the size of the restaurant. This sweet potato fries are delicious. The kids loved the soba noodles, and everyone was happy with the sushi. Definitely more a family place than a fancy place.”

“Pizza is so yummy and the large is huge! Note that the original tomato pie doesn't come with mozzarella....get mozzarella! Family enjoyed the white clam pizza as well. One star ding since they give the thinnest and least useful napkins when paying 30/pizza :( Still amazingly great pizza though!”

“This place used to be very good. The new menu has terrible options. $20 burgers.... Food is good, just not what I was expecting. At least the service was excellent.”

“GREAT SALADS AND SERVICE!!! I've been stopping here a couple times a week for their salads. Their Chef and grilled chicken salads are huge and are loaded with meat and fresh vegetables. They offer home made dressings too. One of the best quick salads in Newton!!! Oh, by the way, their Pizza is fantastic too! I just had a slice and it was a "10"”

Address: 1231 Centre St, Newton, MA 02459, USA

“Great spot for Italian pasta and more in Newton Centre. Majority of the food is superb and the fresh bread is delicious. But I wasn't expecting the extra soft meatballs (not exactly what I'm used to)”

Tango Mango

Address: 1191 Centre St, Newton, MA 02459, USA

Restaurant

“This place is pretty good! Similar to a chipotle style set-up. Four stars because I asked for my burrito to be made in a bowl due to a gluten allergy, and they made it in a go-to box instead of one of their go-to bowls (like the ones they use for nachos) so it was an absolute mess to mix and eat when I got home. Prices aren't bad; it ran us about $10 per person without drinks. If you're looking for quick fix Mexican (and an awesome, sweet mango salsa), this is your place!”

Subway

Address: 1185 Centre St, Newton, MA 02459, USA

Restaurant

“For whatever reason the last couple times the fountain drinks have smelled and tasted disgusting. Otherwise great”

Comedor

Address: 105 Union St, Newton Centre, MA 02459, USA

Restaurant

“One of my favorites. The selections keep changing so there's always something new to try if you want to. The waiters always know the dishes well so you can ask questions. I love the $1 oysters and they are available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays until 6:30pm. Unlike some places that require you to be there for 5pm on a Monday. The pistachio wings are amazing and is one of few things that's always on the menu.”

Four Spoons Thai Inspired Cuisine & Bar

Address: 796 Beacon St, Newton, MA 02459, USA

“Yummy appetizers (ordered the Pork & Chive dumplings) as well as the Spicy Eggplant with chicken. Quaint restaurant, got busy really quickly. They don't like customers waiting after they've finished eating. You can reserve a table ahead of time.”

Sweet Tomatoes

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“This place has been here since I was a kid. And there's a guy that's been working there since I was in high school. My whole family is surprised he still works there. We can always tell if it's him on the phone because of the condescending way he talks. He snapped at my mom and almost made her cry once because she tried to explain that he took her order wrong. He's even worse now. Beware of the guy with the long hair. Food is always great. The thin crust and the chunky sauce is a great combo. Pesto splash is our favorite, and besides Lord Farquad, this place rarely disappoints.”

Pho Viet's II

Address: 51 Langley Rd, Newton, MA 02459, USA

Restaurant

“Crowded , delicious and convenient. Waiting time could be over 15 minutes, less than 35. Is a good place for lunch. The best is the Vietnam style sandwich. Kids love the noodle soup at Pho Viet's ????????.”

Baramor

Address: 45 Union St, Newton Centre, MA 02459, USA

Restaurant

“We really enjoyed our experience at Baramor. Considering they have only been operating for 5 weeks, they did a completely fabulous job. Our server, Nick, clearly enjoyed all of the menu items and could descrbe them very well. I ordered the handmade gnocchi with pesto and it clearly was hand turned and lightly grilled to give it extra texture. The pesto was enhanced with lemon zest, tomato and feta, and topped with croutons. The whole dish was balanced and just delicious. My date enjoyed the home-style meatloaf accompanied by a bacon wrap, and a side of buttermilk mashed potatoes so creamy that he didn't miss the gravy. The onions in the dish were the perfect crunch. A pleasant surprise was the side salad which contained crisp peas, radishes and red onion. An overall satisfying meal that was not pretentious or over-priced. Highly recommended.”

Lee's Burger Place

Address: 216 Sumner St, Newton Centre, MA 02459, USA

Restaurant

“This is a great little tucked in burger dive. The atmosphere is very "neighborhood" and the burgers and fries are just perfect. My next visit I'm going to try some of the vegetarian options. I expect I won't be disappointed.”
