Good place if you wanna invite friends. The lighting and ambience could be better. Too dark for a restaurant.
Excellent cocktail bar with decent food. Huge selection of whisky scotch bourbon. It gets pretty busy after 10/11 so sometimes the service pretty slow, but the servers are very nice.
Perfect place to have a cocktail and talk with friends. Great attention to detail on all the drinks. Decor has the old speakeasy vibe. They play music at a good level (loud enough to make it feel lively, not so loud you can't have an in-depth conversation).
Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because it's ultimately in the basement of a building in Davis and pretty cheaply constructed (darkness helps hide it) but for the price of the drinks you could be in a more upscale environment.
Great spot for unique cocktails and an extensive spirits selection. The entrance is tricky to find and you will have no cell service down there, but that just means you'll have to bring some good company. The atmosphere is very cozy.
I like it. The staff is great, atmosphere is great, drinks are great. My only complaint is one of the nights I was there someone spontaneously jacked the music up to an ear-splitting level, and the noise was just ridiculous - and it was Jazz. You don’t blast Jazz. Kinda ruined the vibe. It stayed that way until near closing time.
Next tine I went things were a lot more chill. I’m guessing it depends on when you go.
UPDATE: Stopped back by, and the noise level is definitely better. Ambiance was great. Will be a regular place when I'm in Cambridge, for sure. Updating to five stars.
