Came here a couple times for trivia and dinner. What's nice about The Burren is they have a lot of live music which makes the place welcoming and lively, and events like trivia that can be fun with friends. As for food, I love their lamb burger I once got off their specials menu. But also, my friends have had bad experiences, like getting fish & chips where the batter wasn't cooked all the way through and was pretty doughy. For that reason, I have a hard time giving too many stars. Also, I dont drink but my friends had trouble getting service at the bar. If you come for an event like trivia, I recommend getting there early because it can be hard to get a seat!
Great spot for dinner! We are outside because there was a nice breeze out, but there was loveisiv being plaid inside which was really nice! The food was awesome and we'll prices and the staff was really friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Shouldn’t be charging covers, not the vibe of the bar or the area. Food is good, not great. Beer and wine selection is good but again, pricey for the area. The atmosphere is fun but they let it get too crowded during the weekend. Overall good for a quick drink but kind of an eh place.
Went once into this pub located pretty far from I live. It's a kind of Irish pub, as they have some Irish beers and the decoration also Irish-like. They have some small spaces like in a Irish pub, more intimate and isolated from the other people.
Besides Irish beers, you can find local or the most common beers there, they have them in tap or bottle.
When you first enter the pub, there is an area with tables, and then there's another big space with a big bar and a stage. Local people told me that is used by amateur groups to play there, so when there's a play it's pretty hard to maintain a conversation over there.
One of the best bars in Boston. Great to dance in and enjoy their weekly live performances. The food is decent and the prices are acceptable for students. Just keep in mind that there is a $5 cover charge. It's a cool bar where half of it has live music and the other has live Irish music. Just visit it. I'm just not a big fan of one of the bartenders who was extremely rude to the guys in my group while friendly to the girls.
