Picante Taqueria

Address: 253 Washington St, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“The horchata was delicious. But, it wasn't like the regular one. It had an added amazing chocolate plus mazapan taste. I tried the pastor and lengua tacos, and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered churros, but I was too full to eat them. They also have massive burritos and other interesting dishes.”

june bug restaurant

Address: 251 Washington St, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“Cozy, casual restaurant in a busy Somerville neighborhood. We went for our anniversary dinner on our daughter’s recommendation and glad we did. The menu isn’t extensive & keeps changing but the two appetizers we ordered were delicious as was the pizza. The pizzas are light and individual sized but after eating appetizers, one was enough split between the two of us. We got the olive oil cake & flan for dessert & they both were so delicious! Our server was amazing and at the end of dinner, refilled our wine glasses with sparkling wine on the house. I’d definitely recommend a visit to June bug. Beware, parking is an issue in the area. Take a ride share if possible.”

Buk Kyung Korean Cuisine

Address: 9a Union Square, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“A solid Korean-Chinese place with laid back vibes. Tangsuyuk chicken was great with a light sweet sauce. It isn't the best sauce I've had, but the chicken was on point. Bulgogi was a bit too salty, but the flavor was on point. The sundubu (tofu soup) was probably the most lacking. It needed a bit more flavor and we got the beef, but the base tasted like seafood. Overall I would come again but probably stick with the korean Chinese food.”

Mama Gina's Pizzeria

Meal takeaway Meal delivery Restaurant

“Food was delicious. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. We dined in as a large group during a thunderstorm, and the staff allowed us to stay after close until the storm passed. They were also very humorous and fun to converse with. Definitely check this spot out!”

The Jungle Community Music Club

Address: 6 Sanborn Ct, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“We were looking for a place to have an after dinner drink and TBH we tried a few other places first, BUT! I'm glad we landed at The Jungle. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The drinks were well made. They have a Pac Man machine. And if all that weren't enough, live music. About the music, we stayed for two bands and enjoyed them both. One friend perfectly summarized the experience as such, "I'm not usually into this type of music but this place is so comfortable I'm enjoying the vibe, it's a great atmosphere."”

Maprang Bakery & Cafe

Address: 51 Union Square, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Cafe Bakery Restaurant

“Great bakery with a selection of Asian influenced mini cakes! Loved the strawberry shortcake, the cake was moist, cream was very smooth, strawberries were fresh, the combo’s not overly sweet, would def order again! On the other hand, didn’t enjoy the matcha red bean one as much, the cake texture was more coarse, and there’s a savory taste that was a bit odd. Overall, the mini cake’s size is on the small side, with approx. $8 per piece, it’s slightly overpriced. However, the price for drinks were quite reasonable for Boston area, enjoyed my ice americano!”

Bloc Cafe

Address: 11 Bow St, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Cafe Bakery Restaurant

“I feel very lucky to live near such a cozy coffee shop! Bloc is unique because it used to be a bank back in the day. You can even sit in a few areas that used to be vault rooms. The coffee is always wonderful and the staff are kind. They also have smoothies and seasonal drinks like cider if you aren’t a coffee lover. Their patio space is by far one of the best in Somerville.”

Carolicious Gourmet

Address: 6 Bow Mkt Wy, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

“Had a delicious gourmet Arepa and cookies that reminded me of my childhood. Of course, I also took some cachitos to go! Both owners are kind and welcoming, and I will be back soon.”

The Eaves

Address: 1 Bow Mkt Wy, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“This is such a delightful place to come for a drink, a meal, and a date night. The Eaves is a terrific setting for an intimate 2 or 3 person evening. The entrance is a bit tough to find in Bow Market - though after entering, it's to hide the high quality atmosphere that's inside. We got drinks after being seated and we're impressed by the flavor of drinks indicative of a cosmopolitan feel. The food was most impressive. The spice level was very high and was balanced with the wonderful flavours provided. The vegetarian salad was a good starter, followed by ceviche and finally, the duck. That duck is still something I am thinking about - tender, juicy, and with just enough spice that makes me want more. Our service complemented a wonderful evening. The staff were always attentive to our needs, happy to answer questions, and ensure we had a great time. Though it's a bit pricey, The Eaves deserves 5 stars, a bigger place, and another visit from us and others. Thank you for such a great time and hope to come again soon!”

Nagomi Bento

Bluefin at Bow Market

Address: 1 Bow Mkt Wy #13, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“Bluefin is the best! Top-notch seafood -- the brown butter lobster roll has completely changed my concept of what a hot lobster roll can be. And the staff/team is simply the friendliest and most caring ever. (Special shoutouts to Peter and Michael!)”

Taquisimo Birria Tacos

Address: 1 Bow Mkt Wy Ste 10, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“I couldn't decide between the birria ramen or the crispy beef birria tacos, but I ultimately decided to go for the latter. It took around 5-6 minutes to prepare and was almost $7 for a single taco, which was a bit expensive. However, the taco wasn't bad. The tortilla got a bit soggy once it was filled with the hot beef, so it didn't truly live up to the "crispy" in its name. I would say it was more al dente. The consomé came in a small cup and was served hot. It was the right amount of saltiness. I would come back for the birria ramen since I'm still curious how that tastes.”

Remnant Brewing

Address: 2 Bow Mkt Wy, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“It’s the perfect mix of a brewery and coffee shop. They marry both things well. Nice chill vibe. Good beer. Good coffee. It is in the middle of bow market which is a vibe on its own. Fun place to be! They also had decaf coffee!”

Southern Pines Diner Car

Address: 1 Bow Mkt Wy St, 15, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“I've ordered from here twice within two weeks because I couldn't stop thinking about the sandwiches after my first visit. There's a reason it won best new pop-up of 2023. Southern Pines Diner Car is a small place tucked away in the corner of Bow Market. No seating inside, but there is plenty of seating outside. The sandwiches range from $14-$16 and take 10-15 minutes to prepare. - Mighty Mushroom Melt: The bread was toasted and buttered well. The coleslaw was crunchy and sweet from the honey but balanced by the pickled jalapeños, which added a mild heat. There was a cheese pull, but the cheese was not overwhelming. And lastly, the star ingredient, the mushrooms, had an almost truffle-like taste. - A Gourd-Geous Sandwich: The squash was so soft and sweet, and the taleggio cheese had a rich yet mellow taste. The crispy onions tasted like onion rings and added a nice crunch. The bread was ever so buttery, and their signature slaw added a refreshing balance throughout. I rated this place a 5/5 on my first visit, but the second time around I knocked off a star because the person working there was a bit rude, which put a damper on the experience. A few other reviews on Google have also noted similar interactions. Aside from that, the food is what will keep me coming back because these sandwiches are truly some of the best.”

Hot Tomatoes

Address: 77 Bow St, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“What a lovely new addition to Union Square! Your neighborhood sandwich and pizza shop serving up elevated bites. It is a cute spot with plenty of seating, well lit, and chalkboards advertising the menu. Everything sounded appetizing, but I decided on a hot sandwich. I went with the gobbler and added American cheese. The bread was buttery and toasted nicely. The sandwich was jam-packed with stuffing, turkey, and the cranberry mayo meshed nicely, bringing all of the flavors together. This sandwich was so savory and filling that I was only able to eat half. I was able to eat the other half the next day, and it was still tasty left over. I got a side of elbow pasta salad, which was also really yummy! I have my eye on the pizza for my next visit”

Barbeque International

Address: 40 Bow St #2934, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Meal delivery Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Really good food. The name BBQ international tricked me into thinking this place serves traditional American cuisine. Instead you get generous portions of decent Indian/Himalayan food. You must try the chicken tikka pizza! The kebab (black pepper flavor) wasn't that great though, but overall a good experience.”

FoodDy's kitchen

Parla XXI

Address: 631 Assembly Row, Somerville, MA 02145, USA

Restaurant

“Parla XXI is an awesome addition to assembly row. Sophisticated vibe and a great atmosphere. Cocktails were excellent, and I loved the dice game where they give you a random drink. Service was good, but prices are pretty high for the area. The food took a while to come out, but was outstanding. Overall, excited to be coming back regularly.”

Civility Social House

Address: 490 Foley St, Somerville, MA 02145, USA

Restaurant

“Food was great! Khail was so kind and helpful with our dinner choices. Best service I’ve had in Boston. The Potential of a Superman pitcher pairs great with the skillet cookie.”

Tatte Bakery & Cafe

Address: 305 Assembly Row, Somerville, MA 02145, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Great food and ambiance although my usual favourite Croque Madame is done better at the Harvard Square branch. During my last visit, my latte wasn’t done right but the barrista replaced it with a better cup. Tables could do with better clean in between customers. During my 3-4 hour visit here, never noticed the crew doing any wiping of the tables.”

Davis Square Hand Crafted Donuts & Bagels

Kongdog Somerville

Address: 236 Elm St, Somerville, MA 02144, USA

“I was looking to try their corn dog and wasn't disappointed with the result. Try the original with beef sausage and the potato with half beef/mozz; the sausage tasted very good. It took more time than I thought to get my order, but I will definitely return.”

Restaurant

“The true yakitori experience. Please be adventurous if you come here! Yakitori is all about off cuts made delicious by slow flame cooking and sauces. I recommend the eel, chicken hearts, and pork neck, as those are my personal favourites. Best enjoyed with some Japanese beer. Well done, Yakitori Totto!”

Salt + Stone

Address: 463 Assembly Row, Somerville, MA 02145, USA

Restaurant

“All I have to say is wow!!!!! This place is a to be on a Friday night/weekend. My sister and I went there yesterday for the first time and I have to say just walking through the door I already knew it was going to be a good time. Such a gorgeous place the music was good and it had such a great vibe. The hostesses was very welcoming and our waiter Jackie did an amazing job. She was super friendly she checked up on us every couple minutes to make sure if we needed anything. She was not the only one that checked up on us. Those who was working there that night would ask us if we needed anything as well and honestly I really appreciated that because a lot of places these days they don’t serve you as well either they’re short staffed and this is actually one of the first Place in a few months that I went to and I didn’t have to wait a long time to be seated or be waited on (we actually didn’t wait at all) . The food was amazing the drink was amazing. I will be sure to tell everyone about this restaurant. I highly recommend come in here. See you guys soon . Thanks again!”

T&B Wood-Fired

Address: 251 Washington St, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“The pizzas are good, and so are the bagels (Turenne bagel uses the same oven in the mornings). They have a nice little outdoor space and the staff is nice. Pizzas are served quickly, we never had to wait very long (but we have never been there when the restaurant was more than half full). They have wine by the glass and house wine for a fair price. Pizza are a bit expensive but they are good. Bagels are good too, but very expensive (though they are bigger and a bit more fancy than what you find elsewhere).”

BRONWYN Restaurant

Address: 255 Washington St, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

Restaurant

“This place has a hipster crowd and great atmosphere. The German beer list is incredible and vast! Loads of digestifs to end on. I haven't eaten here... But the food looked and smelled amazing. Will definitely be back. Edit: I HAVE eaten here. It’s magic. Please bring back the kielbasa!”
