By the time we placed our order there was a steady flow of patrons coming in. The style is a throwback to another time and I really liked that. “Ate there for the first time today with my family, and we all loved it. We ate a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with hash browns and a blueberry pancake. Of note, the blueberries are so juicy that one popped when cut and I ended up with some blueberry face. Lastly, the biscuits and gravy was had by another, and enjoyed as well. Clean restaurant, and very friendly staff. I would recommend this place to anyone.”

“Place was clean and modern and the food was amazing. I got the #2 breakfast combo that came with French toast, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 4 slices of toast, and home fries for only 9.99. My cousin got the #1 breakfast combo which she also enjoyed. The only thing is it is extra money if you want to get turkey bacon or turkey sausage instead. Waitress was nice as well.”

“Holbrook house never disappoints my family and I. I was a regular before the change of ownership, and nothing has changed. If anything, before the change of ownership I felt myself waiting longer than the time given. Now after the change of ownership there have been some slight menu modifications, but that’s to be expected, and their take out time is always spot on. The food is still awesome, and so is the customer service. This was, and still is the best take out place in Holbrook, hands down.”

“Let me just say... I’m impressed. I have never gotten good customer service at any subway but today was different. I went in for my lunch and asked for a foot long veggie delight. The man proceeded to ask me if I was vegan or vegetarian which I responded “yes”. He then made sure that the subs with meat on them moved down the line before he put mine down. He then changed his gloves and did mine completely separate. It may not be that big of a deal to people or you’ll say “they should do that anyways” but you’ll be surprised at how many locations I’ve been to that don’t do it, or give horrible attitude if you ask them to! I wish I got the mans name but he was great and made my day!”

“The food was delicious! Both me and my guest picked the chicken/rib combo. We chose different side items though. My sides were collard greens, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. There were 3 chicken possibilities. We both got the regular barbecue wings. There was a hotter version and a spicy lemon version - maybe will try something different next time. My friend got jambalaya, sweet potato, and collards for sides. The decor mimicked an authentic Tennessee barbecue place. Free parking was available. They provide take out. Moderately priced.”

“I have been going here for years, great food, mostly friendly. Not happy about the surcharge for debit/credit. It’s getting out of hand with so many small businesses. Yes, only a dollar, but that adds up every time you go. It’s 2019, no one carries cash! Friendly stated it was illegal in the state of Ma to have a surcharge with debit/credit cards. Was rudely brushed off, and told “no it’s not, “there’s a debit machine right there”. Here’s your proof. Section 28A: Cardholder discounts; surcharges; finance charge Section 28A. (a)(1) With respect to a credit card which may be used for extensions of credit in sales transactions in which the seller is a person other than the card issuer, the card issuer may not, by contract or otherwise, prohibit any such seller from offering a discount to a cardholder to induce the cardholder to pay cash, check or similar means rather than use a credit card. “We returned to Campanale's after many years. It had been completely refurbished, the bar was active, and the food was still good. They specialize in Italian food, although there are some standard beef and fish dishes too. I had the homemade lasagna and my husband chose the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was the chef's own recipe, and delicious. We each had a basic side salad beforehand. We were impressed by its freshness and size for the $4 price. The lasagna was $20, but the serving was large, and I took half of it home. The spaghetti and two large meatballs was $14. My husband ate it all! We did not order dessert because we were full, but the the rich looking samples in the glass case looked tempting. Another time! Our waitress was the chef's niece, and very attentive, as well as filling us in on the changes to the neighborhood. It's always nice to revisit favorite haunts after you've moved. And fun to make new ones if you haven't been there before. Try Campanale's in Braintree, and take home some extra sauce. I did! ????”

From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. Various members of the staff including the manager stopped by our table to offer congratulations. Our server Tommy was the MAN! My family can be a bit particular with there orders, but he was nothing but gracious. I mean absolutely excellent service, I was floored! (I'll ask for him next time).
