Ordered their version of a Cuban and was blown away by the flavor of the pork, the smoke was so clean and even through each bite. I really like their chicken sandwiches, and my husband loves their fish dinners. And of course, you can't forget the Frozen Custard! You can even buy it in a tub and take it home with you! Culver's is a must visit location if you have never been. You won't regret it! And the one located here in Alpena, is always nice and clean! “First time visiting this establishment. My family is up here camping and we were looking for somewhere to get both lunch and breakfast. We found Nick' s and have it a shot. It is a cool old diner! A little dated and worn, but that just adds to the charm. It is not a big place, but there are a lot of booths and counter seating. There are also tables for two up front. There were five of us, and our server moved some tables together to accommodate our group. The service was excellent as our server was a hustler, covering the entire diner on her own! Breakfast is served all day, and they have both breakfast and lunch specials. Our group ordered everything from an omelette, a fried sampler platter, soup and sandwiches, and a pan pizza. The food came out correctly, as ordered and was delicious! They quality was excellent. Prices are also reasonable. If you are looking for a quaint, affordable family diner, Nick's Southside Country Diner is your place!”
