“My family and I have had such a great time here. Carla's Motel isn't like the Lakeside Inn, but we were glad to have had our stay here at Carla's. The staff is so friendly and courteous to our family. We have so many great experiences here at Carla's. The restaurant is worth waiting until Tuesday to eat at. It's not fancy, but it sure felt like home. My husband and I kept referring to our room to our kids, "When we get home..." I can't express enough what this place has done for our family. Thank you for such a great experience here in Michigan in your motel.”

“I went in to the press box to order something to take home. It was around 7pm I seen about 2 customers sitting at the bar. I later realized one person at the bar was a employee eating their lunch. I sat their for about 10 min before my order was taken. I then sat their and waited , never seeing the waiter that took my order again. Finally after 30 min I got up and approached a different server and asked him to go check on my take out order. Yep just like I thought it had been sitting under the heat lamp . The hamburger was for my husband ,and I ordered a hot dog with fries . It looked good ! It was good and it left me satisfied. My husband loved his burger , he said that's what a burger should taste like. Customer service could use a Lil help. Other then my experience, I recommend the FOOD! the atmosphere was ok !”

“Decided to try a pizza place I'd never been to before even though I've lived in the area for a while. I'm giving it four stars overall for the following: - I was waited on promptly and politely but had to wait over half an hour for my pizza. I've worked in the restaurant industry, specifically the pizza business (and not a national franchise), and it does not take 30+ minutes to make and bake a pizza. It was not a particularly busy night, even for a Friday. To be fair, I was told it would take this long. 3 persons were working, so it did not seem short-staffed. I was also not impressed that two staff members (teenage girls) were eating and drinking in the make area and did not wash their hands afterward. Both are no-nos in the food service industry - health code violations. - The pizza, which I had ordered for take out, was tasty. I enjoyed it, but for a large, meat lovers pizza, it was somewhat skimpy on the meat compared to other places. - The establishment was clean, and other than me, the workers, and a few pickups to go, it was pretty quiet. No one was dining in. Maybe folks just don't here. What did catch my attention was how every customer who came to pick up an order, except me and one other, used the one handicapped parking space while inside. That's not a reflection on the establishment but rather the rude and inconsiderate customers. If you need accessible parking, this is not the place for you. I might consider ordering from this place again.”

“Stopped in for Lunch. Tried the Jalapeño Burger 🍔 with a side of coleslaw and an order of their sweet potato fries. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries coleslaw Found the burger to be decent enough. It was quite a mess to eat, but sometimes that's a good thing. The staff were super polite and attentive. There was a little gift shop area filled with local products and merch. I'll stop back and try something else.”

“A fun experience and the food was good. We had cheeseburgers and while the burger patties were thin, overall it was an above average tasting burger. I would guess that it’s the best burger in the small town of Baraga. Fiancé also had root beer and a flurrie and I had a hot fudge sundae that i couldn’t finish and the bill was $25. We ate in our car but there is a lovely patio with picnic tables and hanging baskets of geraniums to create a pleasant atmosphere. Service was great too. We wanted to buy tshirts the waitresses were wearing but she said they were having trouble even getting enough for the staff. If they could get them in different colors, I think they would sell to tourists. We were camping at the Baraga state park next-door. The only suggestion for improvement would be to play some oldies music instead of the heavy metal that was playing.”
