“It is hit or miss with the staff. I've had GREAT luck with the burger, and bad luck too. Some staff seems more interested in their phone than getting the order straight, and other staff seem eager to serve you. If you get the cell phone lady, speak up if she doesn't get your order right and have her re-accomplish your order.”

“I've driven past this place more times than I can count. parking is always a little bit of an issue in the downtown East Lansing area. I have to say that I really enjoyed this burger! I got the dark rye bun and it was delicious! given a choice of rye or wheat, I will always choose rye. Not sure why but it was delicious and very memorable. I also had the Swiss cheese because Rye and Swiss go so well. The olive salad was delicious and the beer was cold. We went during the jazz festival and it wasn't too terribly busy. I would definitely come back here again. Great seating outdoors if the weather is nice! Cute napkin Doodles. Definitely can see why this is such a popular East Lansing establishment.”

“So I previously rated this restaurant 4 stars after having take out but now that we have had the chance to eat in the restaurant I have to say it was a 5 star experience. We elected not to have barbecue at our table but the people who were having it around us appeared to be enjoying themselves. Restaurant was clean, service was good, and the food hot and delicious. We loved everything that we ordered. We also really enjoyed the variety of flavorful side dishes. I am really looking forward to our next opportunity to eat here.”

The hard cider we had was great and we wanted to try their famous fries, which were also good. However the breakfast blew it out of the water. “I have been looking for a really good Mexican spot in and around Lansing since moving here 5 months ago. On a recommendation, I tried El Azteco. It was great! Definitely above the typical generic Mexican place here. Excellent food and the value was amazing. Two adults and four kids and we ate quite well for $40 - and we weren't trying to be frugal. This will be our #1 spot for Mexican. Update: forgot to mention that the service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly!”

“This was my first time to be here for drinks and visiting with friends. Except for being louder than I would have liked, it was nice. The wait staff was quick and very pleasant. The cocktails were perfectly blended and the apps were enjoyed by all. The ranch sauce/ dip was thin and dripped down on the table and clothes but we got over it. We enjoyed ourselves.”
