Then on dash into the lieu I found the bathrooms very clean, easy to access in a wheelchair and the handicapped stall door opens out rather than in. Brilliant insight that many miss. Good job Shell.”

“I'm a regular here. It's been one busy summer. However, every time I'm here Heather is excellent! There were two long lines in both Subway and the store. She was helping in Subway, but after she was made aware of the line in the store side she went over and helped everyone. Then went back over and finished helping with Subway's line. Every time I'm there, she's always positive and makes my day.”

“Our family of four stayed here in July for a few days. It's probably not a good fit for delicate snowflakes but suited our needs. We ate at their restaurant the day we arrived. It was a bit pricey but the waitress was very pleasant and the portions were large enough for two meals. I can't speak for the rooms at the lodge because we stayed in one of their cabins on Lake Huron (across the street from the lodge). Our cabin was perfect for the four of us and the beach was right outside our front door. A couple of things to note: The beach is smaller at this time (2019) due to high lake levels. The Great Lakes water level fluctuates up and down so this may change. Also, there is no air conditioning in the cabins. We were comfortable but this could be an issue for some during hotter weather. Last and least, there was a problem with the cable the first night but management gave us a generous discount to make up for this. Bottom line, a lot more pros than cons!”

“This place is a diamond in the rough!! The turkey dinner plate is in Mom's Thanksgiving class -- moist, great sides and apparently cooked near daily. The sandwiches are outstanding as well. The service is solid and friendly. Was up in the area for some extended golf and found this place. Through the whole trip just kept coming back.”

“The AuSable Inn and Finish line sports bar is a very nice establishment. It sits right next to the AuSable River. There is plenty of seating space inside, as well as outdoor seating as well if you want to have a great view of the river. The food was very good, and reasonably priced. As you can see by the photos, the portions were decent size as well. The brisket was great! It was very tender, and their house made BBQ sauce was very good. I would definitely recommend dining here.”

“My husband and I went here for our 17th anniversary and we were so happy we did. Our waitress Kat was the best. Our food was phenomenal. I had perch (best perch I have ever had). My husband had the prime rib and loved every bite of it. To top it off they brought us a delicious berries and cream dessert and sang Happy Anniversary to us. I highly recommend this place !!”

“Third waitress saved the day! We had wanted to go in for a quick bite before the local fair. We were seated quickly and told our server would be there shortly. After five minutes, the hostess noticed we didn't have drinks, then took the drink order and said our server would be right with us. Two minutes later our server arrives, we tell her someone else took care of the drinks. Then she left and went to a table that had come in after us. Didn't ask if we were ready to order, questions, etc. Just walked away. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because there was a new shift coming in. A new server took our order (we were now 15 minutes in). If she had not been so friendly, we would have left. I explained what had happened, she apologized, then when she brought the bill she didn't charge for the drinks. We thanked her profusely and left a 30% tip. The Santa Fe salad and bread sticks was amazing!”
