“Cool vibe and bar area inside. I had a fried chicken sandwich that was good, but not the best I’ve had in town. Wife’s burger looked good. Pretty reasonable prices. Didn’t do drinks, but had some good sounding cocktails on the menu what looked like some pretty good happy hour items as well. Our server was friendly and attentive. All in all a good experience and we’ll probably be back.”

“Fast service, easy access to Fulton, Cascade, and I-96. The ingredients were fresh (make your own healthy wrap or salad) the tables were clean, the food was ready quickly, tasted good, and was fairly priced. When I was done eating I felt full, but not the uncomfortable, tight kind of full. Just pleasantly full. I'm not sure what else I could have asked for in a restaurant visit. Average menu item price is between $6 and $9.”

“I hope you have a couple minutes to read a little about my selling to different Chinese restaurants about 30 years. I met the owner, Richard, in 1989. He set a standard of quality unmatched in West Michigan. 1. Beef Always purchased USDA choice from me. Any other Chinese restaurant used a lower grade and soaked it in baking soda to tenderize it. This results in the outside of the piece being mushy. 2. Chicken Used large whole birds and processed immediately upon arrival. I have had to personally run half a ton of chicken over to his location in a company vehicle if a truck delivery was delayed. 3.Shrimp Used non-injected natural product. Most shrimp is soaked in sodium polyphosphate. ( Read any shrimp label in your grocery store) The only reason is to force water into the shrimp. This increases the size (until cooking) so you pay more per pound for "larger" shrimp. It also toughens the shrimp and can affect the flavor. 4. Other ingredients selected for quality not just the lowest price. I have been in the back of many Chinese restaurants.This one is one of the 2 best maintained that I have ever been into. The menu has pretty standard offerings. THE QUALITY IS FAR ABOVE THE REST.”

“Decent American-style Chinese fare. Great to nail those greasy and sweet cravings for Asian inspired flavors. Food is maintained very well, best in the north of Grand Rapids area. I have had only great experiences with the staff. Always very polite and accommodating. Building interior is showing wear and tear, but I've noticed steps to address this. If a chair rail were installed around the wall of the dining area, it would go a long way to improving the appearance as the chairs have banged and scratched the walls pretty bad.”

“My wife and I visited Fred's Pizza the other day before leaving for a trip to visit relatives. We always have the same Pizza due to my narrow-mindedness and my wife's good graces towards me her husband of many years. As a result we had the sausage and pepperoni small 8 inch pizza, which we found to be as good as always, especially the crust and the sauce and the meat. My wife also had a salad would she found to be very good. If you're like a good Italian pizza you would be hard-pressed to find a better place than Fred's in Grand Rapids, Michigan.”
