“Visited twice during stay in August 2023. Exactly what I would expect considering it is a grill place on a remote island. Menu is limited but still offered decent variety (really liked that they offered vegetarian and gluten free options). I had the black bean burger and cheese pizza while there, both were enjoyable. Pricing was as expected, some items a little higher and some a little lower than I thought they’d be. Staff was friendly but struggled communicating with us when it was busy. Simple yet charming atmosphere.”

“One of the best restaurants I've ever been to in my entire life. Consistently. For over 20 years. Family run and it shows that they care. They care about their quality and they really care about the customer experience. We got there late but they were very welcoming even just before closing time. They offered a few limited items since the kitchen was closed and we were very happy. And then they very kindly offered more options and we had an amazing dining experience with every single bite starting with a simple salad made with love and a blue cheese dressing that made this blue cheese lover very happy! And since they offered the spinach artichoke after hours, we were very happy to order it. When it arrived, we were informed that they had run out of chips so ours were made fresh to order! I've been to thousands of restaurants from coast to coast and this is, hands down, one of my top 10 restaurants! Ever.”

“Stopped in for breakfast yesterday and was completely starstruck by Eddie and Pam. I ordered an americano with their big belly eggs Benedict and my wife had a pumpkin spice latte and meat breakfast skillet. We picked up some cool swag from their store as well! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was probably the best thing in a 100 mile radius. I unfortunately was too mesmerized by the experience to take any photos and videos but we absolutely will be returning.”

“We stopped here for lunch after others in our group went earlier for breakfast and raved about it. We didn't realize they close between 11am-12pm to get ready for lunch and the day we went they were running behind and let us know it would be a bit longer... turns out the fish was just caught and they still had to prep it. It was worth the wait - the food was delicious. We had the freshest whitefish fish & chips ever and an amazing brisket sandwich. It may not be fancy looking, but it was delicious!!!”

“We all had a wonderful meal. It's a higher end restaurant. The presentation, food and prices reflect that. You will get what you pay for. Gourmet food!”

“Dog Friendly out front. You have to go inside and order and bring your order out to the picnic tables yourself. The smoked trout dip was the bomb. I could just eat it by the spoonful. We split one of their artisan grilled cheeses: the smokestack (smokedbacon, smoked turkey, smoked Gouda, spinach, tomato and bistro ranch) with fries. Food was tasty. My relative paid but I went in to get food. I really liked the interior. Copper Harbor is great. So is this place!”

“3 stars is for OK. It was OK. We needed a place to eat at 8pm, and this menu sounded really yummy! The cost was a little high, but the restaurant across the street was wayyy higher and much fancier, so we took our chances. So, all in All, I get that the cost is higher because there is probably no grocery store nearby? Great service though!”

“We went up for fall colors and stayed in log cabins (heated but you can make your own fire). Breakfast is included and delicious! We purchased a picnic basket dinner and grilled our own burgers with some additional fixings! Staff and chef are superb! Well worth the drive!”

“We were on a snowmobile ride with the women when one of the snowmobiles broke down. This was the closest place to tow it. So we had dinner before we went to get the truck and trailer. They had a cast iron seared pork blade steak special, my compliments to the chef the meal was spectacular I should have ordered 2 meals. This was the first restaurant that I have ever been to that has offered a pork blade steak. The staff was awesome, and so was atmosphere. Keep up the great work, everyone. I will be back at least twice a year on my vacations. Many thanks”

“We stopped by Slim’s on the way to Copper Harbor. They make pasties on Thursdays so we were able to order several. They were delicious! We also ordered a cup of chili, corn chowder and spicy fries. All were excellent and had a lot of flavor. It’s a quaint place with friendly servers. We also saw a spicy breakfast skillet come out of the kitchen that looked amazing! Definitely recommend!!”

“This is a great place and a great location. Easy to get to and on a good corner of the street. Very cool on the inside, they sell ice cream, food, souvenirs, etc. I had a shake. It was a good consistency and I love how they give you wider straws for the shakes. Will go again.”

“We went here for our anniversary dinner, we ordered a wood fired pizza and ice cream. Online this place looked like a sit down restaurant. Turns out it's a poolside bar/bistro in the middle of a resort. Pizza took normal amount of time to cook but tasted like a frozen pizza. Ice cream took 30 minutes after getting our pizza. We only went here because it was near our vacation campsite but if you're looking for a place to eat in the area, just drive the couple extra miles and go somewhere else.”

“Small town bar with some funny shirts. Not very woke and gonna need to grow some tough skin if you are sensitive to dark humor. Nice little hole in the wall, but the bartender was not a very helpful guy to the girls in the group that had a few questions. He was more the tell me what you want and get it kinda guy.”
