“This place is every bit a slice of Americana as you expect from a little roadside motel like this. But with very little effort could be a million times better. No AC but also no ceiling fans and the smell of smoke outside is a bit too much to leave the windows open. The rooms are huge and they at least have clean, white sheets on the beds. A little effort in the layout/upgrade department could make it a great value. Our TV didn’t turn on but til we realized it was well past most peoples bedtime. Not much of a drive to all the major things in town but out enough to be quiet and secluded. Clean enough but just clearly has not been updated in 20 years. We wanted to do the classic diner breakfast but honestly the prices were not classic diner breakfast prices.”

“Had breakfast at Good Harbor Grill this morning. We arrived about 40 minutes before breakfast ended. Even though it was a bit closer to lunch, we didn't feel our breakfast experience was compromised. Food was excellent. Everything was served hot. The Big Bear Breakfast skillet I ordered was very good. Potatoes were well seasoned and hot. Overall, a very good experience. We plan on returning next time we come back to the area. “Great Atmosphere! The deck is huge and the outside bar is cool; however the food and drinks are way overpriced for what you get. In addition, the food isn't all that good. We had a group of six adults and three little kids for early dinner (sandwiches) on the deck and the bill was over $150.00 not counting the tip (with only one draft beer and the rest soft drinks). We have come here for years but I don't think we will be returning anytime soon. There are a lot better restaurants in Glen Arbor.”

“We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in the back room. It comfortably fit around 30 people and was perfect for this kind of event. They had a smaller menu for the event, but still a good variety. The food was excellent and everyone was satisfied. The bar prices were very reasonable for this type of event. We had multiple servers helping our group and provided good service. We would recommend!”

“This is an excellent restaurant and bar! It has the atmosphere of an old community bar, not some new fancy place catering to a high end clientele. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger. Very good. They also have a nice selection of local draft beer. The only drawback is that they don't accept debit or credit. So be sure to come with cash in hand.”

“We always visit here...a part of any vacation. I thought the DH Day ipa was excellent. Whitefish sandwich was very spicy so be aware. More like a blackened fish sandwich. Loved the "plain cherry ice cream." Smooth, creamy, not too sweet, delicious.”
