Apache Trout Grill

Apache Trout Grill, is my families and my go to restaurant when we are in Traverse City.

This is one of the few restaurants in my many travels around the country that I know I can 100% count on to take care of our needs in both the service and Dietary department (they are very accommodating and understanding to dietary restrictions). I have brought many clients and co-workers to Apache Trout Grill as well, and all have been equally impressed with the great food, and professional service.

Keep up the good work, and I am looking forward to many more years of great food!

One side note to anybody whom is a first time visitor. Please be aware that this is a VERY popular destination and wait times can be extended during peak hours (very much worth the wait). Please plan for this wait time in your dinner.

To begin, how can anyone start their review without first mentioning Fred & Chum, what a team. I have never a restaurant shaking the hands of the bartenders, but I did they made the night , friendly, fun, entertaining and helpful with out selections. The food was great, had barbecue shrimp and the twins. Oh and the shrimp lobster bisque, was very good. Just a good fun relaxing place to go. And the key lime pie was to die for just ask Chum and Fred. I will come again.

A friend had recommended that my husband and I go here for dinner. This place is absolutely top-notch! The waiter was very helpful and personable. The food was unbelievable. Just make sure to get there early since they do not take reservations. A very popular place for many good reasons. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The cheeseburger I had was just mediocre. The bun was so hot to the touch and my lettuce was completely wilted. I'm guessing it was microwaved just prior to being brought out to ensure it was hot enough. The strawberry daiquiri was also mediocre. Had it not been pink I wouldn't have realized it was strawberry because there was very little strawberry flavor. No fresh berry for garnish and served in a plastic cup for $10.00. Service was acceptable and the view was exceptional.
Don't waste your money on food. Sit outside on the patio bar and enjoy the view.

Awesome late lunch and early dinner. Drove up from Ypsilanti for a race at the Vineyard tomorrow and what a treat ???? Great fresh white fish with views of Lake Michigan. I LOVE my home state. Food and service was good. My fresh veggies could've used a little love, but I managed. Would certainly come again ????
