Ice House BBQ

An easily overlooked BBQ restaurant tucked just off of Main Street on Mackinac Island, but if you do you will be regret it. Delicious food and a welcome respite to the fudge, candy spots and normal over priced food fare.
From delicious original appetizers like homemade potato chips with blue cheese dip, to more traditional BBQ staples such as pulled pork and brisket.
Along with a well stocked bar full of local beers and wine, it’s definitely worth seeking out the next time you are on the island.

The whitefish dip was very tasty. A great example of this local favorite. I had the ribs, which were fall-off-the-bone tender. A big plus for this Chicagoan, they offer LillyQ BBQ sauce. My wife has the beef brisket tacos which were simply delicious. Even the bread pudding for dessert was lighter than usually offered but with all the flavor you want. The outdoor setting off the restaurant is very warm and inviting.

This is the best restaurant on the island. All of the BBQ here is incredible! The chicken was great, the brisket was tender, and the pulled pork was perfect. Also, the staff was attentive and tried to fill every request, This restaurant checks all the boxes for a great place to eat!

Very friendly staff with exceptional service. Charming casual dining atmosphere, options for interior, patio, or covered tent dining. Never too busy and a great place to get away from the crowds. Cocktails and drinks looked delicious even though I didn’t try one. Burger was very good. Prices are very reasonable and a nice variety of items on menu, I’m sure anyone will be able to find something they will enjoy. Great place to enjoy lunch or dinner up the pathway next to the Island House Hotel. Definitely a must dine while on Mackinac Island.

This is truly a hidden gem off the path & away from the crowds! We loved the atmosphere and the whole experience! Our group of 5 had a wonderful time. Our waitress was very cheery, gave great recommendations, and was quick for how busy ice house was! We had lunch Sunday @ 2pm and dined on the patio under the umbrellas. We were seated immediately. We all got drinks, appetizers and meals. I ordered the brisket, fries and baked beans which was fantastic and a salad. My husband had brisket tacos and fries. Everything was tasty! They even had a place to play bags while you wait. Music selection was really good too as we heard a little bit of everything. Totally glad I did research and found this place!!!
