The Pink Pony is one of our first stops when we arrive to the island. We grab a drink at the bar - their pink pony rum runner, beer or an old fashioned, with the whitefish pate appetizer.
We love their white fish tacos too. When you’re in upper Michigan, whitefish anything is a must!
The kids live browsing their store too.
Had a great lunch here. We went when they opened and got a table right by the window. The calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had, highly recommend trying it. The whitefish dip and French onion soup were good too. The place filled up quick after we were seated.
Great food. Friendly people. We enjoyed the Whitefish fingers, and onion rings . We had the most awesome waitress. Her name was Melissa, she was so great that she gave us her own personal Diet Coke when they ran out. The hostess was great too his name is Jay
Hands-down the best meal on our Mackinaw Island trip! We decided to sit outside on the covered upstairs patio and it was so beautiful overlooking the water and the marina! Our server, Karen was excellent and knew the menu in and out. I very much would recommend their french onion soup and the homemade Michigan Cherry Chicken Salad sandwich on gluten-free bread. I also ordered a "Lilac Lemonade" drink which included Tito's, lemonade, champagne, and lavender which was very refreshing on a warm summer day! Also, whomever is ahead of the adjoining apparel store needs a raise--after searching all day long for a cute shirt that said "Mackinaw Island" that didn't look cheap or touristy, I finally found one here! I was in awe at how cute all of the items in the store were displayed.
Personally my favorite spot to eat on the island. It's a very large restaurant with ample indoor and outdoor seating. If the weather is nice, it's worth the extra wait for the outdoor seating. You can watch the boats come and go, as the patio is right next to the water. The food was good and honestly not priced to high for a destination spot like Mackinac Island. Great beer selection too!
