Sushi Grand

My wife doesn't eat sushi, however, she had the vegetarian roll and loved it. I also am not huge on sushi but I got the shrimp tempura (cooked) and it was amazing. So much so that a couple days later we were looking for a light lunch and ended up back here again.

Upon walking in, we were greeted with a smile and a clean restaurant. They were able to accommodate our jogger stroller. It's on the small side but comfortable and the food and service was the quality you expect from anywhere on Mackinaw. The food was fresh and delicious. The Garlic Edamame was amazingly flavorful.

I give the food a 5 stars! Everything was fresh and tasted authentic. The server we had that day however made us feel rushed (she brought out our soups, salads, sashimi, and rolls all at the same time) and that we were taking up too much space (despite being a party of 7 taking up a 4 top and a 2 top????). Over all though, the ambiance was great, the chef amazing and the food was wonderful.

We enjoyed our lunch today. My wife had the bento box ($25), I had sushi & a house salad, my son had sushi and the seaweed salad. Everyone enjoyed their food. We came on a Monday and were able to get right in. Service was standard. O really loved the house salad. That impressed me most. The sushi was very good. Lunch for 3 adults including tip was $110. Were it not for the fact we were on Mackinac Island, this would have seemed steep. Overall good experience though.

Nice little place. Great atmosphere. A little pricey but it's on the island so you have top expect that. Sushi is good but not the best I've had. Still recommend our if you have the taste for it.
