“I love the Johnny’s Markets Gas Stations. They are the Starbuck cafe of gas stations with a great selection of snacks and even beautiful flowers. And the bathrooms, that sold me the place, specially when you are driving hours to go to visit one daughter in one place and the son in another. And, if by any chance, you want more than snacks, they have a Jimmy John’s sandwich store inside too. Look at the bathroom and tell me why is a keeper. Enjoy it,”

“The Pizza was made fairly quickly, 15 minutes maybe less. The family loved all of the pizza from the toppings to the crust. We ordered regular crust (no added flavor)and it tasted quite nice. There is a new hot place to get your pizza in Big Rapids... It's Hungry Howie's!!! Also the manager gave both my kids Drawstring messenger bags that have the Hungry Howie's logo vary vary cool. Great service at this establishment.”

“Been to R Place multiple times. I've always had great service and great food. Finally got the courage to try Gator Bites (fried Alligator) tonight, and oh my!! I don't know why I waited so long. Very, very delightful. The dipping sauce is to die for as well. The special tonight was fried cod with fries and coleslaw. Let's just say I didn't leave hungry and had to take leftovers home. Will continue to support this restaurant whenever I'm in Big Rapids. They have a great selection of seafood.”

“Was really packed while we were there and the clientele wasn't exactly family friendly - however the bar food, drinks and waitstaff were great. We overheard some complaints from the dining area about service, but sitting at the bar they were responsive and food and drinks were quick to arrive. Really enjoyed the rough and tumble atmosphere and the great bartenders but I probably wouldn't bring the kids on a Saturday afternoon.”

“Not sure why all the bad reviews, I've always enjoyed their buffet there and I'm fussy about food - incredible variety, pleasant wait staff, clean environment. Maybe a bit pricey but it is all you can eat! Only possible complaint is the beef is a little tough. Love their buttered potatoes and the creamed spinach was (now discontinued) to die for!! 10% senior discount but you have to tell them.”

“I ordered online and picked up at our Subway located inside Walmart. I didn't have to download an app. It took 8 minutes start to finish my order for four people!! Online ordering was so freaking easy. We all got what we wanted. It was ready when it was supposed to be. I didn't have to wait in line. Sandwiches were awesome!!! It was fantastic to easily order something that wasn't fast food or pizza. I would have given it 5 stars but I haven't eaten at Subway in quite some time. Pretty sure I will do this again soon. After a long day at work, too tired to get groceries, not wanting normal "order out" foods this made me very happy and everyone enjoyed their own sub!! Win-WIN!!!”

“The food is tailored to Michiganders, but on the whole it is good for the northern Midwest. They have expanded and improved their menu over the years, too. I am used to authentic Mexican and TexMex, but when you have no other choices, you learn to find what is most authentic on the menu. I love the management and wait staff, who typically stay for many years. I have known them now for 13 years and have shared their lives in the way one does in a small town. Many good memories and good meals with them!”

“I do like the raven, I am confused with the consistency? The food is good 85% of the time, the service is way below average and comfort is about the same. For me it's 3.4 stars but has the potential for greatness with better consistency and a staff that actually tries to make a customer feel welcome. The food is great, atmosphere is great, the wait staff is the only thing that is pretty bad. Overall above average because of the food, but if you cant get good service I am not waiting for the food.”

“Stopped in with my family to try this longtime establishment. We were very surprised at how much we liked it. Plenty of seating during dinner time but it was almost full. Help yourself to some fresh popcorn and peanuts. We each got something different and we loved it all! Frisco melt burger, Chicken Avocado sandwich, salad, sweet potato fries! Delicious! Prices were super reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely go there again when we get a chance!”
