Everything about this place is great. The menu is fresh and different, but the food was wonderful. Casual and upscale are apropos for this restaurant. There were 4 of us. We split 3 appetizers which was plenty. We ordered peel & eat shrimp, chicken wings and roasted artichoke...all excellent. The fish sandwich was huge. My wife had a salad with salmon which she loved. Overall, this is definitely one of B'ham's best restaurants.

Love this place for a quick drink or office Christmas party. Love the owner and the vibe. Bring back the curry fries please!

The first time I visited on a Sunday after Pilates class the restaurant was pretty empty. I came back about a month later and the place was packed. Sadly I think this well kept secret is a secret no more. Hazel, Ravines and Downtown has amazing food - I usually get the blueberry pancakes, which are so light and fluffy. Prices are also very reasonable. Three huge flapjacks came out to $10.

First visit was for Easter brunch. I figured if they could do a traditionally hectic buffet well, then they'd be even better on a normal night.

Everything was fantastic. There is a city parking garage within walking distance. The building was surprisingly quiet for a full dining room, it was easy to hold a conversation. The Easter Bunny even came by to say hello and posed for photos, to the delight of the kids.

All of the food was piping hot, flavorful, and turnover of fresh refills was frequent. All the typical brunch items were available, as well as both East and West coast oysters to sample. I tried a little of everything, and left very happy.

All of the wait staff were attentive - including our delightful server Shay. She was appreciative of my rice krispie rabbit posing for the picture.

I look forward to coming back for their standard menu!
