Satchel's BBQ

This place is yummy. The Mac and cheese is especially good. I've watched them make it and it's the real deal. The downtown location is clean and pretty, almost always empty so good for big parties - you can plop down in the side rooms and basically have the room to yourself!

Pretty good food. My only complaint is you get very little meat unless you pay extra for more. Guess I'm used to getting a similar dish from other places with more meat for the same price. But the quality of the food seems very good. They really care about their product they serve you.

I think I can easily say there is not a single bad item on the menu. If you are looking for some southern inspired BBQ this is your place. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. They are also very easy to work with to get events catered.

Best kielbasa my husband and I have ever had. Slightly but perfectly crunch outside and the most melt in your mouth soft center. Perfect amount of flavor. Mac and cheese was also simply amazing. As were the mashed potatoes, they came with an awesome brown gravy. This place blew us away!

Downtown Ann Arbor is full of overpriced, mediocre restaurants. This is not one of them! I only had the BBQ pork sandwich, but my was it satisfying. Two pieces of good cornbread come with it, too. No frills, but easy in and easy out. I've only had better BBQ in small town Alabama. So good for the price!
