“Visited with grandchildren. Welcoming staff with attentive, but not too attentive waitress. Had been here before and everything seemed a bit better. The food was good, but not great. It seems to be doing a good job of being a local burger joint. We liked the wings and our grandsons also liked a couple different choices of burgers. “Must visit place for the fair. Lines are long for food at the front of the building but it is well worth it. All things on the menu are full of flavor and very diverse options of food. The line moves fairly quick. The food is similar to American or bar food. There is also a wonderful pavilion behind the building that has lots of seating but also gives shade from the sun or protection from the rain. In the pavilion there is almost always great music or entertainment. There is additional line on the pavilion for beer and wine only, this line will often appear long but moves incredibly fast only about a 1-3 minute wait from getting in line to getting your drink and only when it is busy.”

“Wow! I heard about a new B&G restaurant so had to try it, way impressed! The menu and space are pretty bare-bones but the quality of the food is absolutely amazing! We had the biscuit pimento plate with homemade pickled veggies and the biscuit and gravy with bacon. The biscuits are the perfect balance of crispy and flakey, pimento cheese and pickles are unique and delicious. Last tip, get the cinnamon roll, warm with frosting! So good and just the right level of sweet. Also, very good coffee.”

“Monkey Temple is quickly going to become the hottest place in the neighbourhood, I can tell -- not only is their food astoundingly good (not to mention Mac students have lacked Indian options in walking distance prior to their opening), they feature one of the most innovative cocktail menus of any bar in the neighborhood, their drink specials are fantastic, and their price point is accessible for college students and local residents alike. The space is pleasant, with a British-style bar, TVs playing visible yet unobtrusive sports (prominent at the bar, mostly hidden from view in the seated dining area to minimize distraction), plenty of table seating, and comfortable lighting. Service was friendly and attentive, and the kitchen seemed fairly quick. From the looks of the place, I was expecting a certain quality of food. My expectations were honestly exceeded. Not only was everything we ordered absolutely delicious, but their vegetarian and gluten-free options were quite extensive, quite exciting to a Celiac friend. With 2 daily happy hours on drinks and food, I'll definitely be spending a little too much time at Monkey Temple.”
