“This location for Maya Cuisine is very nice inside. Our server was pleasant and efficient. I mistakenly ordered from the vegetarian meal with added chicken and it was surprisingly delicious and fresh tasting. The food needs a kick of flavour but will order with more detail next time. The salsa and chips need work. Chips were not crispy enough and the salsa tasted of tomato paste. Wish the salsa had fresh tomatoes, onions and cilantro . The refried beans did not have a homemade taste to them. The tables need hot sauce and better pepper grinders. Maya plate needs to be on the menu with chicken tamales wrapped in banana leaves. “I like everything about this place but the drinks, the long island's to be exact. anywhere else the drink is usually really strong and would never say it doesn't have enough alcohol. But here, it's like it's virgin LI, even had my girlfriend who is pretty lightweight when it comes to alcohol and said she didn't taste the alcohol. I asked the bartender if she could something about it but told me that's how well mixed LI's are like that. Other than that it's a great place to eat or get other drinks, I just wish they would do something about the drink.”

“I was highly impressed with this location! I stopped by to pick up a a free pretzel and was told I had to wait a few minutes while they baked. After a few minutes, one of the employees called me over and asked if I wanted a lemonade while I waited. The wait wasn't even that long, but I appreciated the kindness. By the way, the pretzel was delicious.”

“I love Joe's. It's a great bar, but be careful. There's a seedy motel next door that the police frequent. They like to watch Joe's parking lot and pull people over, not that I condone drinking and driving. But they will pull you over for simply leaving later and assume you've been drinking, even if you haven't. The low rating is for that reason. Joe's is excellent. Excellent service, great food, reasonable prices. You'll get the occasional straggler from the seedy motel next door though and they are usually easily picked out. I realize that the bar cannot control who stops in our the police harassing their customers, but be warned. Give Mary a raise, she's amazing!!!”

Especially for the amount of food you get. As a free starter, they serve tortilla chips with a choice of 3 or 4 sauces. “The aesthetic of this restaurant is very modern. I visited on a Thursday around 5. Parking was easy in their parking lot. There was plenty of room around the bar to grab a seat. We arrived just in time for happy hour (Sunday’s are all day happy hour). The bartenders (Del and Sean) were super friendly and helpful. Service was quick and you could tell a lot of attention was paid to details in the restaurant. The food was good, however I was a little disappointed in the Thai calamari. I don’t know if it’s because we got the happy hour portion or if this would be the case with the appetizer option as well, but there wasn’t a lot of calamari but a ton of shredded carrots. It was very disproportionate between the two. Also the carrots were super oily. I would definitely go back, but I wouldn’t get the Thai calamari again.”
