“The food is fantastic. The staff is great. Wait times have been a bit long, but the quality is very high. The pork belly is incredible, with a crackly skin and ultra tender meat & fat. The lao sausage is true to style with bold lemongrass and acidic brightness. The chicken is well executed and paired well with fermented soy. The shrimp salad and cucumber salads are perfectly authentic, but might be too strong for pallettes unaccustomed to lao food. Overall, the prices are a bit high, but the quality makes a strong case for the value received.”

“Delicious Tried four different potstickers and four different sauces -- all amazing. Beef noodles and miso chicken entrees were great portions and tasted excellent. Long cocktail menu and good value for sake flites. We'll be back soon!”

“Stopped in after walking Como Lake one morning -- I'm an out-of-towner & it was only a 4-minute drive. I got a build-your-own breakfast sandwich, and it was SO GOOD! They were very sweet to me as I stumbled through my order, too. I chose a pumpernickel bagel with egg, sausage, bacon, pepper jack, bacon & chive cream cheese, tomato, red onion, sprouts (amazed to see this fave on the menu), and honey mustard. Sounds weird, but I promise, it was divine! I also ordered 4 bagels (sundried tomato, pumpernickel, plain, & multi-grain) and 8 small sides of various cream cheeses to share with my mom (honey walnut, veggie, cinnamon sugar, apricot almond, garlic herb, jalapeño, bacon chive, & smoked salmon). I haven't tried them yet, but based on this sammy, I'm stoked!”

“Finally made it over for brunch! Quality menu, has a difficult time choosing one thing! Don’t miss out on the skillet rolls … delicious! Went early enough that it was pretty quiet, was definitely hopping by the time we wrapped up. Can’t wait to return to try more dishes!”

“Food was excellent! Had the trip dips, calamari, Brussels and Moroccan chicken! All great choices to share amongst the 3 of us! Service was efficient, but just not overly friendly or helpful. Poached pear for dessert was very good too! Close walk to Xcell.”

“We were here for a special event, Sake and Pizza. The staff were amazing and were always on top of your drink orders. Their pizza is amazing, thick and soft crust, great fresh toppings, and delicious sauces. The location is really easy to find and like a lot of St. Paul places, parking is easy to find, easy street or a ramp. Even though I was here for special event, the food is delicious enough to come back.”

“This is a really great local Mexican restaurant. The presentation is beautiful. I loved the alambre campechano. The Al pastor is just phenomenal and the steak and chorizo are great too. The alambres are generously stacked with meat, cheese, and beautifully charred onions and green peppers.I highly recommend this dish. We also had the quesabirria which was good but not great in my opinion. The birria broth was not very flavorful and instead of popping with flavor the meat and broth were a little bland compared to some other places in the city. The al pastor here is there specialty and I would highly recommend it. I really want to try their tortas sometime too!!”

“Came in for breakfast on Thursday morning. Seating readily available. Bathroom and diner area was clean. The waitress and cook were both very nice and accommodating to me. The food was great! The omelette is a bit fluffy. I prefer mine a little thinner but the taste was good. I also ordered the O’brian potatoes! Yummm! I had to get a pancake and that was really good also! I should have ordered two! The coffee wasn’t the best tasting but they did come to try refill at least three times. I was asked several times if I need anything else a few times also! Great customer service! I will be back again.”

“Incredible! The service is prompt, welcoming and friendly. We had the (s)ham and cheese and chicken sandwich with fries which were surprisingly good - the bread was perfectly toasted yet soft and chewy. The building is gorgeous, being a funeral home previously and they even kept some of the original pews. The organist cove up above was kept intact, and space is smartly decorated with a little bit steampunk, a little bit Lovecraft, a little bit rustic. Dimly lit and cozy, we enjoyed spending a few hours there playing games and enjoying the food and drink. We haven’t yet tried the escape room puzzles, but they look promising and we definitely plan to visit again soon!”

I love they kept the authentic Brazilian style. The food was delicious. We got the cheese bread, Caprese sandwich and ice coffees. All delicious and authentic. The service is exceptional, with attentive and helpful owners /staff genuinely caring about their patrons experience. This place is definitely an excellent place to find Brazilian food at a great price. Warm and cozy atmosphere! Highly recommend!”

“Really love the food at this new sit down resturant inside the Xcel Energy Center! I really enjoyed the assortment of side that were big enough to share and the main course, I got the beef, was really tasty! Even though this is on the upper levels you can get in with any level ticket and a reservation. It was a great place to start our evening before a Wild game!”

“Gotta love this place! It's got an eclectic mix of vibes going on - I tried to describe it to my friends when I invited them, and eventually had to say "just come with us and see!". A combo of Supper Club from the past, Tiki Bar, 40's piano section... The decor is memorable, the food was great with lots of interesting mixes of flavors, and loved the drinks. Our server was attentive,, fast and had a good sense of humor. We loved the music too! It was perfect with the overall atmosphere.”

“DON’T ORDER FROM DOORDASH PICK UP! I’m visiting the town and ordered form door dash, for an 14.99 item they charged 19.49! What a rip off. I went and picked up my order then realized how much cheaper things actually are. Then I ordered more 😜😜.Amazing comfort food, highly recommend!”

“Absolutely loved Cafe Astoria and I am going to be a regular! I just moved to the city and I am finding new places to eat. This place came highly recommended to me. They have ample seating space and every corner is so cute! The servers are friendly and food was so good too! I got the Turkey, Swiss and Pesto savory crepe with their Creme Brulee coffee. If you are a sweet tooth, you'll appreciate this coffee flavor. The combination of flavors in the crepe was amazing! Yum! Writing this has me drooling and planning my next visit! 10/10 recommend this place!”

“Excellent food, excellent service and pretty reasonable prices for fresh baked goods. Other reviews are right, seating is pretty limited. I've done takeout and dine in several times each; at least at the times we've been there, we were able to find seating, but it does fill up fast. THE. BEST. BREAKFAST. BURRITOS. Definitely do the Gyro burrito. 🤤😋 Also tried: • Tried the Norwegian Almond Krinkger - very noticeable almond extract flavor, but OH. SO. GOOD. • Raspberry Double Chocolate Scone - maybe a little dry and not much for raspberry or chocolate in it. Still good but I'd try something else next time. • Pull Apart Cinnamon Rolls - also a little dry but great proportion of cinnamon and glaze, and with just a few seconds in the nukerwave - dyn-O-mite. • Maple Apple Circle (donut type) - best of the bunch. SO very good. This is a must try. Will definitely be back to dine there to try their coffee with a fresh delicious pastry. 2nd visit, tried two different breakfast burritos. The Mediterranean breakfast burrito was the best I've had in YEARS.”

“Ignore the negative reviews and form your own opinion! The only negative thing I can say is they don't keep regular hours. This was our first time here, and I already know we'll be back. The service was excellent. The portions are huge. The food was fresh and delicious! Very nice family owned restaurant. Go show them some love!! You won't be disappointed.”
