“What a sleeper of a bbq restaurant. Very unassuming, small town bbq restaurant but with unique and big flavors. The pork rinds, made in house, were outstanding. Both of our dinners were very tasty. The pork belly burnt ends were perfect. The sausage was not your run of the mill store bought sausage. It was definitely made there as well. I couldn’t make a decision on a favorite sauce. They were all really good. Definitely will go back. You won’t be disappointed.”

“The building needs some work. The ceiling is leaking over the buffet bar. The pizza is good and service is friendly, but the building itself feels dirty and in bad repair. Update: The leaky spot over the buffet has been repaired. You wouldn't know there had been a leak now if you hadn't seen it. The pizza is good and the service is friendly, but there is still room for improvement. I've seen the same 3 employees running that place each time I've been there in the last few years. Melissa works hard to wait the entire dining room alone, and often ends up bussing tables as well. It's clear that it's just too much for one person when the lunch rush fills the building. I think that is part of why the building feels dirty. The building is just old and the lack of natural light doesn't help matters any. Finding people that are willing to work, and that work hard is a challenge, but I hope they can get someone in there to help. We were told to seat ourselves, but had to wait at a dirty table for it to be bussed and cleaned. Another update: February 2019 The ceiling over the buffet had been repaired, but the problem still exists. The last time I was in there for lunch, that fresh paint on the ceiling was bubbled and looked like it must be holding water. I enjoy the pizza, and Melissa's service is still great, but someone needs to work on this building! I would imagine that the people actually managing and working this location have little control over the maintenance of the structure itself. Pizza hut corporation needs to shut this location down, FIX THAT LEAK OVER THE BUFFET, and do some remodeling, like new carpet. I've not eaten in any other pizza hut location, so maybe they are all the same dark, cavernous feel inside... But it would be great if there were more natural light in this building. There are a few small windows along the front, but that is not sufficient. I would describe it as feeling like I'm eating pizza in a bar. I've attached a picture to show the bubbled ceiling over the buffet - watch what you eat because that paint isn't going to hold that water forever - and you can see that the building is dark. The only lighting in the ceiling is a fixture over the buffet and the rest are pendants hanging over each table. I don't think the cavernous feel would bother me quite as much if I didn't feel like the whole building were dirty and the grime is hidden by the lack of light.”

“Saw this place driving past and thought it looked like an authentic mom and pop kind of place so threw in a U-turn to check it out. It did not disappoint. I believe the gas station is functioning, and there is a limited store for essentials. The main attraction however is the food, and the first rate service. I ordered a steak, and it is up there with one of the best I've had, and at one of the best prices I've seen. The sides were great, and just when I thought I was done, I was practically force fed free samples of their desserts which were exceptional! If I wasn't on a roadtrip I'd have taken some to take home. Their biggest selling point, are their staff (family!). Easily the most welcoming and friendly staff I have ever encountered in my travels around the world. I came to the south of the USA because I'd heard how friendly and welcoming or was, and I did not leave disappointed (or hungry). If only I lived closer, I'd be a regular.”

“Haven’t been here in a long time, wow was it with the wait! Located in a beautiful historic building that’s been remodeled. Indoor and outdoor seating. I got the shrimp tacos and it came with 2 sides.-I chose the coleslaw and sweet potato waffle fries. Coleslaw was a little too sweet and slightly mushy for my taste but still a nice size portion. My guest got the fish with crabmeat, waffle fries and pepper Jack Mac. Very generous portions. Excellent quality. Service was good too. Conveniently located on Main St so there is plenty of parking.”

“Sonics food is usually the same at most locations. They use 2 types of grills so the burgers are only made 1 of the 2 ways at Any location that you may visit. The food is always fast to arrive and hot. They offer an App that offers many Deals. They also print coupons in the paper and usually have a drink/food special for certain times of the day. My only major complaint is the number of napkins given with an order. For example 2 napkins for 4 meals is not appropriate. I feel bad asking for more and the car-hops never seem to carry anything extra that you may want. I do try to ask for this in advanced but it rarely seems to solve the problem. Overall I am pleased with the food quality and consistency. I know what I am getting every time. I appreciate the savings that they offer but rarely take advantage of this.”
