“Just opened so decided to try. My husband ordered chicken & shrimp fajitas. They were so bland he sent them back, and my husband never complains about his food. Refried beans had absolutely no flavor. My enchilada Mariachi was good but it was not served according to the description so had to send my plate back as well. The manager made it clear by his expression he wasn't happy. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because our server was very attentive and patient. Not sure we will return.”

“Nice folks. Like eating in someone's house. Stopped in here Sunday with Little Joe Ayers. We both had cheeseburgers. Very tasty with a sweet brioche bun. Crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy. The lady who runs it is very polite. Her father, Tim, was there and he gave us a great tip on a joint in Phillip, MS since we were heading that area. Place is out front of where they have the Hill Country Picnic. Only complaint was no iced tea”

“Great place definitely meets car test! Hang out for locals. Reasonable pricing! Local favorites included. Service was great. Well worth the detour from the route. Stopped for breakfast variety of omelets. Had the garden omelet which was great had real cheddar cheese! Potatoes were great also. Whole wheat toast available!! Hubby had the two egg breakfast with biscuits & gravy. Doesn’t get any better than this!!”

“Road weary, passing through, hungry for Mexican. This new place is bright, clean, and friendly. We were disappointed to see only meat dishes as we are vegetarian, but they happily accommodated us. The veggies were crisply cooked, not greasy. The fresh veggies were not tired out. We took away a great fruit cup with traditional dipping sauces. Really worth the stop!”

“Hint: bacon on a roll is NOT a biscuit! I do not understand how any place, particularly in the South, gets away with serving a roll and pretending it is a biscuit. Other than that, windshield cleaning squeegees need to be cleaned, and I think the cleaner is some kind of windex type product. Windex on exterior windows is just a no-no!”

“An amazing place with amazing history. Family/black owned for 100+ years and in addition to preserving/promoting an awesome culture of ownership and power it's incredibly welcoming to all. Stayed for 2 nights and my partner and I both fell in love with the place. Live music every other Sunday during the on season and the concert space was out of this world...music, food, dancing all absolutely fantastic. Cannot wait to come again. “First time eating here today, and will definitely be back! Tried lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, seasoned, mild, and BBQ flavored wings. Also ordered fried green tomatoes. There is a wait for food, only because it's made to order and fresh. It was definitely worth the wait and we were not disappointed. Prices aren't bad at all to be a small town restaurant. Drink choices were few but the quality and taste of the food outweighs that.
