Bonzai Steak Teriyaki & Sushi

If you're looking for exotic high end sushi like blue marlin or toro or sea urchin, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you love a good tuna roll, California roll or Philly roll, it probably is.

It looks like they've chosen to focus on tuna, salmon, crabmeat, shrimp and eel and present those in a wide variety of rolls.

I had the spicy tuna roll and a salmon maki roll. It was good and a good amount of food. Service was surprisingly excellent. Every table was full and there was only one waitress, but she was very attentive.

One of the best sushi places I’ve ever eaten at. Me and my wife love the atmosphere, dim lights, zen music, candles, nice and clean. Perfect for a date night. We are new to the area we moved here from St.Louis we’ve tried most sushi places in St.Louis nothing compares to bonzai. Our waitress was amazing, she was running around like crazy. They were busy (packed house, people waiting on to go orders and people waiting for a table) but our drinks were always full and she was still able to come around several times check on us. The sushi rolls are so amazing, they are big compared to other restaurant. Their sushi rolls do have sauces on them (something the we are not use to) where compared to other sushi restaurant rolls don’t have sauces but we are not going to complain cause the sauces on the rolls were out of this world. We had order 6 different rolls and 2 appetizers (gyoza and shumai) they have a very large selection of sushi rolls to choose from as well. This is definitely our date night spot for sure. We can’t wait for our next date night.

We love this restaurant so much. The food is amazing and so affordable.
We started going frequently when we moved here. Kristen noticed who we were right away and was so kind to us. She makes sure we feel welcome and always was kind to our kids. Our daughter (who is 2) was having a moment were she was upset and Kristen brought out a little paper umbrella to cheer her up. So many restaurant seem annoyed with our big family and young kids when we show up. The people and owners at Bonzai make us feel like family.
They have consistently gone above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and the service.

Food was delicious! Waitress was very prompt and courteous. She did mess up 1 order, but fixed it immediately.
