“My husband and I had dinner here last night. It was a beautiful, intimate setting. Even though there were three other families and couples around, it still felt very romantic. The host, David, was very friendly. He is a one man show but he ran everything very smoothly. The food was AMAZING. I cannot put into words how good the food was. It was a 4 course meal and from start to finish every bite was mouth watering. Highly recommend the Vallet House if you are in the Hermann, MO area.”

“Hermann is German but not here at Zydeco. Cajun food executed well with good flavorings in just the right amount to achieve success. Not a whole lot to offer if you don’t want cajun but you know what your getting into before you walk in the door. Clean and bright interior works well and provides a good atmosphere that features the food. Now onto the not good. Our party was there on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. Chaos reigned. Everything took forever. This is all fixable but it looked like they were short on help and management. No one really running the front of the house. Wait staff was doing their best. Give this place a chance if you want good food.”

“Nice place to stay in Hermann. Really enjoyed the outdoor patio with live music each nite. Tonight was Kevin Gruen a solo acoustic songwriter & did many popular requests. He was very good & has interesting historical knowledge of song originations. The bar has a few choices of food. The brats & fried mushrooms were good. The cheeseburger was a different tasting burger, did not like. They have many liquid refreshments, their frozen wine slushy are excellent! They have breakfast in the morning till 10:30 am too. It was a nice get away.”

“Staff was great! But don't go there expecting to get a good draft beer. Waitress didn't know what was on tap. Had a couple of better choices but the glass was colder than the beer, so that's not a priority. Food was decent and I could see the making of a chef in there but the food needs to be cleaned up. I had the steak fettuccine but it was more like soup. I picked out the steak and left the rest. I'm sure they had some better dishes I just didn't try them.”
